i decided to send the bike to AHM, ahchwee said that the piston crown worn off plus the valve burnt. thats why the bike cant start! He's trying to find parts in singapore, if not i have to buy it overseas... tried cmsnl (http://www.cmsnl.com) but my engine no. does not tally with theirs! any other recommended sites other than ebay?

you going to use it on what bike? i think is a CB77 super hawk/CB160/CB175k0.. Super hard to get. Try ebay, Make sure you are buying kmph not mhph.

 

i think if small bike might be able to fix cb77 headlight, must use small bike like cb160 or cb175. not very sure, correct me if i m wrong.. haha

 

i'm going to use at CG125. the pics is actually sourced from bikepics which is CB160.

 

i want to get that kind of headlight as long as it attached with speedo. do you know any shop that can ship it for me?

its actually CB160. i know its hard to find but im not intend to buy exactly like the one shown in the pic. as long as it a headlamp with the speedo attach at top something like that is fine.

Bro, you dont used engine no. to buy your parts. You need to use honda parts no., for your piston and ring will be 235.

 

Ring set - 13012 (22/32/42/52) -235-000 - from std to 1.

Piston - 13101 (02/03/04/05) - 235-000 from std to 1.

 

I guess khong soon should have your parts lah......think ah chwee can help you to find lah. Even buy from overseas wont be too xx lah.....there a quite a handful of website selling small cc parts.

 

Have ah chwee strip down your engine already?

Piston - 13101 (02/03/04/05) - 235-000 from std to 1.

Is between shop houses 240 - 275. dont forget the size of your piston, must be oversize.

I asked ahchwee to see my current piston size, he keep telling me he busy! Think tomorrow i go down and see for myself, need to scrub off the carbon at the piston first. But if lets say i order the next bigger size, my block must do honing first right?

Example:

 

If your is size: 025mm, then you must buy 0.75mm.

You must have the piston first then can rebored by the pro.

Now im looking for std size piston and after that then i will send my block for honing.. maybe tomorrow i will head down to khong soon and check if have or not.. also maybe ill go search for clutch plate also!... Hope can find in singapore, order online damn leceh!

You should be looking for new sleeve for your head, std piston and ring. Cos your head is already 1.00 so cant be rebore anymore. If not find a 2nd hand head which is std size or a big bore kit, hee hee. Ebay should have leh.........or somebody in the forum may have.

hope you get what i mean. Is hard to see NOS block is around for sale. and 199usd is not that ex for a new block.

 

Make sure you change and check the engine oil and plug every 1000-2000km. So the engine will not give you problem.

How much is he selling? if cheap can buy lah.

But new block is alway good. If you are only riding for transport or just one year just buy the old block.

But alway check ebay, sometime got cheap block for sale leh.

Yup i understand...my bike always leak engine oil, maybe cos of oil seal problem that led to the damage of piston and block. I'll try to fix that also. But how come plug also change?

Are u a strict OEM kinda guy or u dun mind aftermkt? For me, tried lookin for stock pair for me KAt but no luck. Looi's mtr has but only 1 side.. OhLins are eXpensive, so I'm lookin into Bitubos. Andrew(Mezzo) gave a bench of S$500+- for a pair. my 2 cents anyways...

hahah yeah it does save money! khong soon charge me $100-$200 range, compared to online USD$199 new block! But still the appearance of the block is different ma..my block chui already, previous owner go and spray paint black ..tried removing it but i still cannot see original metal colour. It seems to have a coat (dirt?) over it..any idea on how to restore back to near original colour?
