Bro, if your engine dun get hot, it must a refrigerate! :angel:

 

Engine dies in standstill.

Make sure your tank is clean and flow ok and does not start and stop. Plug out the petrol hose and see got any start and stop. If ok, then your petcock is ok not choked. Then it will be your carbs lor. Clean your carbs lor.

i bought the carb repair kit and fixed it all up already..think must adjust? ok ill check the petrol hose also..

Hope it was a good meeting last nite... Anway if anyone interested in a Triumph Bonneville T100, let me know, Am letting go so that she won't sit in the garage everyday....I hardly have time to ride when I'm back in sg... cheers..

Hi guys, am considering getting a 1979 yamaha bike, but not too sure about maintenance cos i've been riding vespas....

1. Is it easy to find spare parts?

2. I know speed wise its not so fast, but ok to travel on expressway, esp with heavy pillion?

3. Can mod the engine to run faster? Cos vespa can jus change to alloy block, can feel the difference.

yb100 i think parts still can get ba. no issues

But speed i think abit slow, with heavy pillion i think max speed only 60km/h

I dun think the engine can mob.. anyway this bike is for city riding, look cool!

So does it mean that the spare parts are interchangeble with the other yamaha rxk, rxz? Or they still manufacture yb100 parts? Sorry, not sure how the parts work for motobikes, heh.....

i think Yb100 parts can only use on yb100/yb80

Few bike shop can do the job, like combine motor and ahm motor.

Yamaha does not make yb parts anymore. What we have is left over from old days.

Ic ic, am unsure of getting it now, haha. Was inspired after i came back from vietnam, seeing loads of vintage bikes over there, still running after all these years.... I guess if something does breakdown, i suppose they should still have spare parts in vietnam...

you can order the parts from ebay, lot of them on ebay.

Some time if you want to ride old bike, must ready to fork money to do it. haiz
