Z1 900cc still got another 1 but ppl offer he 18k he also dun want to sell.

1977 Z1000 so far i only know got 2 and not many around.

AN555 belong to a japanese and another own by a real bike lover/collector.

You seem to be very well informed about the old bike scene, wish more people out there appreciate old Japanese bikes as much as the people on this thread do. You mentioned a real bike lover who has another Z1000, is he the alan decruz that has been mentioned a few times?

the bike is up for running. But from the bike condition i see, need to spent min another 5-6k to do nice and run real nice.

The parts for this bike is near 0% in singapore. If not the ex owner will not want to sell it at very low price.

That is too much money to spend I think. I'm sure the local Kawasaki dealership in Singapore has parts for the Z1000 MK II, they should have something for it? People say that when the Kawa dealership shifted to their new location, they threw away tons of old parts that people could really use today. If this is true, then it's a shame but I do understand that they needed the space.

Believe me or not. They will not throw away the parts. They can always sell the NOS parts back to japan because japanese want it so badly.

The reason why ppl giving up old bike is because cannot find parts at local. Some other bike parts/model cannnot even find at oversea, so i want to buy bike and i will always check whether parts is easy at oversea.

Z1000 MK II that came in to singapore during that time is all not recon bike(japanese cannot ride more than 750cc during that time).

During that time that bike cost alot of money so not many came in to singapore, so i guess maybe the parts support is not that too.

That Z1000 MK ex owner give up the bike and sell so cheap because cannot find parts and always down.. For sure that is a nice bike to own but too much money and work need, No joke.

A very nice Z1000 MKII in japanese can sell more than 10k sgd. But that is only in japan.

Is 5am over here, i think i should get some sleep. haha

Then this Z1000 bike was bought from Kallang Cycle from Michael Chong, or at least that is what people are saying. I heard about it. The new owner is Kenneth or something like that, bought the bike for 2K.

Many parts missing on it though. The bike was sent to Jurong for repair but the shop man could not find the parts, as you have mentioned, they are hard to find. Now word around town is saying that the bike is with alan decruz for a total conversion to look like the Z1 900 with 4 into 4 exhaust system. He bought the exhaust system from the Kawa agent for more than 3K! WOW!! The total bill will be huge, so I see your point of spending a lot of money in order to do up an old bike. Is it all worth it? Not many people like him around man!!

Hello,

Would like to ask some questions.

Is there anybody riding CB400ss here? Hows the bike? i am interested to turn it to street tracker...

Went to check at MAH(unfortunately they are the only one that carry that model in singapore?) almost 13000 OTR. o_O.

No more Kawa W400.

So, i am looking at used bike, even Night Hawk to turn it that way...

According to image XR400 is possible(This one is 650), but will that be legal? may be a little bit on tone down version?

There are many way of street-tracker, like Deus, Bratstyle, etc. they look fantastic.

W650 is the most beautiful,i will say. coz of the great loooking englne block..

Ride safe!

Actually how do we define a street tracker?

Wat I can see is the tail (tail light area after the seat), the handle bar and if I'm not wrong the fork (front suspension) is modded?

Am I correct a not huh??

The above pics posted by bro marco are all SR500 rite??

Suzuki TU250GB (a.k.a - Grass Tracker Big Boy)....dun think it's available in s'pore though.

Is this consider a street tracker?

Or it's jus a vintage dirt bike? (Yes, I noe this bike is still available and produced in other countries in recent years, but the looks is similar to those vintage dirt bikes - IMHO)

Thanks for responding my post,

I think Street tracker is same as dirt tracker, just that they are legal on the street? (which mean comes with Signal, break light etc.)

Other than Duck tail and wide handle bar, they also had identical size wheel for both front and rear.

The Suzuki that mention here, i nv seem before, in 250 CC, i 've seen the Honda FTR 250 only(not on the road, on the web and, again MAH got it for sale and one is for display).

Yep, i am looking for nighthawk now(if come across for sale, please let me know).

My worry for NightHawk is, the rear wheel is small, need to change it, and i am not sure what kinda wheel can be replace.

Thanks for posting some trackers images here, they are WOW.

SR YAMAHA, no chance here, saw SR125 only.. lol

Street-trackers are just another name for the original Flat-trackers which is still being race in a round dirt circuit. The fav bike for this is usually HD-SPORTSTERS due to its slim appeareances.

just an FYI, the trackers that you are refering to are not exaclty very friendly for our roads as they do not have mudguards, which make them look REAL good but in our weather conditions (ie rain) we will be totally screwed.
