Hey folks,

 

Gonna let go of one of my prized possession, 1968 Yamaha YAS 1A (AJ5212H) 125cc twin. Quite a rarity, I have only seen my own but others mentioned there is another one in private collection. Lots of NOS and used parts to go with this bike. I have a set of used YAS 1C mufflers, those old scrambler kind with heatshields. One on each side. Spare used block with numerous NOS pistons and rings. New aftermarket gaskets, clutch plates, emblems. NOS steering damper (that knob thing over the handle bar), NOS speedometer, newly chromed signal lamps (in storage), NOS air filters, NOS carb boot (joint), new aftermarket carb kits, spare used tank. Sorry if the list is a bit random, the parts are under my bed and I am trying to recall as much as I can. Point is, this bike comes with a good amount of spares. Conrods are a bit loose now and I just laid up the bike a few weeks ago. COE should be till 2011. Have original parts book. Gimme a yell if anyone of you guys are interested. Dun really want to put it up on the public forum, prefer to keep it within the 'family' :)

 

Letting it go at 3.5k.

 

(And Mr Yip, that bike group shot was so long ago man...heh)

Great that you have pix of the old gang's Honda 4-strokers striking a pose man.

 

Anyway with regards to the sale of my bike, anyone interested can drop me an email for higher res shots of the bike. Hopefully my lost is somebody's gain! As mentioned, bike comes with a pair of used YAS1C mufflers (but NOS heat shields included). Below is what it would look like with it.

Saw your bike at kim keat yesterday.

Saw them rebuild the engine when i was there during lunch time. than i when back after work to collect my bike and your bike is almost done. FAST!

A big halo to all the seniors here.. :) got a qns...anyone here kns any rider who owns a S90?? How many are there on the road now... use to see it quite offten a few yrs back... bt now like MIA.. :p

We are not seniors but passion about our little two wheels.

 

S90, reliable little bike.

 

I would make a guess, maybe less than 15.

Is alway like that, once you see it and now you dont, cos uncle get old and no youngster interested in old and slow bike. Most get scrap or maybe rusting somewhere.

Look around, s90 still exist maybe in some motor shop waiting for the right person to safe it, you may see me ride pass you, ha ha.......there is where we meet the nicest person on my little Honda. Just say ........hi.......

jus to add on guys.my fren oso riding a vespa,registered in 1982 w/o iu pass gantry quite many times but so far no "christmas cards" yet..n tat was 6 mths ago..looks like i need 2 test for myself coz i jus bought a rxk w/o iu..haha..

Since the IU is register under our bike. the only thing i can think off is tht since that the bike has no IU, there is no identification to what bike pass through the gantry.

 

thus it had to rely on the camera. So tht left whether the camera took the shot of the front or back. If the plate number is obscure. How to trace to the owner?
