hey brothers...i need your advice...i met wit accident sum time ago..i am ridin a bullet army...my whole front fork assembly needs to be replaced..including headlights..and rims.. i was quoted ard 6k for that to be replaced. where the machine price is only 10k..everything in the bike is in workin condition cept the front fork assembly.i am still a student. i really need some advice from you guys. i am helpless ..

The guy must be crazy or what. Quote you 6K?

You can fly dont know how many times to and fro to India man for 6K and also can buy parts back from India.

are there any trustable shops that will be able to repair enfield ? besides the agent. how much will it be to change the colour the bike ?

If you have anybody who travel frequent to India, can buy spares from there.

The best thing to do is check out the net first and source for parts that you need.

You ask the agent, how much is the price of the complete fork and spares for the repair lah. And also check on the net for the price too. You judge which is cheaper and buy from there lor. Any way your bike first party claim, right??

Do you have the parts list of the bike? Check from the parts list what you need, make a checklist.

 

Those can repair, repair, those cant repair buy lor, bo bian.....What is the condition of damaged, any photo?

thanks brothers for replyin.. initially i was quoted ard 1k - 2k including the ride side ammo box when i towed my bike over. few months later as i was recovering and was bz wit my school projects. A guy called me apparently he was the "accident surveyor" on the behalf of the taxi company's insurance. Then the told me i will win the case la..and all the false hope. whereases there was no withness even thou i was not in the wrong. Somehow he micheal's customer or frend. Then this went on for a while. He told me he was not a lawyer or anything. I was talking to my frend about my accident and he told me that his brother had similar experience with that same guy too. He told me that the guy was not related to accident. He was 3rd party or maybe a frend of micheal. After all this i managed to go down to view the bike with my uncle and he told me now the repairs were major and must replace alot of stuffs costing 6k plus or more..and still told me its just rough estimation. I am really lost. It was my 1st brand new bike i own and the 1st road bike. As i was riding dirt bike all my life and neva had such exprience.

A few times, scolded taxi drivers for reckless driving man, sudden cut into my lane.

Anyway, what did your insurance said?? 1st party cant recover your damages??

If you buy parts from universal and repair by them, you will kana chop man.

(Parts price + shipping fee + jack up price) + service price = Empty pocket

 

What I will do is.......

1) Ask around in the enfied committee forum and source for parts

2) If you can fly to India buy and bring back the parts

3) Buy parts from net.....have seen some small parts in the net, search under royal enfied, quite a handful of website.

4) there a few guys riding enfied also, try asking them for help, marco may able to assist you wo.

No chance my friend! I have been looking for a Daytona 400 for some time now and was told that none exist any more. What happened to all of them? COE? Parts? Insurance cost? There are a few Daytona 250's still running about so this is still a possible find if you're lucky.

Bro, the best bet will be using rust remover, with some bolts and nuts to shake the rust out and finally pour some tank sealant into the tank. What tank, am I talking? Are you into "DIY" or just want to stop the rust? If you are into "DIY", I got some left over sealant? PM me if you are interested? If you are not into "DIY", some bike shop can do it for you with a price lo.

No way those damage cost 6K la! I say 3K at most if it is a Ducati 916 maybe. How can a 10K bike, repair cost so much? Don't let the shop rip you off!

My friend got his tank done $100 plus or so for a 12litre tank.

You got to know whether your tank isit beyond repair, if not still can stop rust by treating with the sealant.

You decide yourself whether you want to DIY or get it done by the shop lo. PM me if you want the sealant lo.

There's still daytona 400 around. My fren sold his daytona last yr. He use to ride to work everyday, very fast bike!!! Its an AX plate if i'm not wrong...
