i need to chge my front tyre for my 18" spoke. any to recommend?

what happen if the diaphragm faulty or wore out? alway read you guy mention diaphragm rubber cannot take it strong petrol from msia.

 

not sure leh gennosukes..

my bike at 40k km but haven't changed diaphragm yet.. pumping jb ron97 since they have made that rule. so far so good.

i also read some comments about disphragm changes.. i kiasu bought one.. till now still sitting there.. lol

 

for me when i wash the carb the mech told me the diaphragm expanded already. so i asked him what will happen if i leave it like that. he oni say 'tak sedap' when u go for a ride so i ask him change. got some truth in that. felt a lil better when riding home from UM. or maybe its just me. i mean $25 for a piece of rubber is LOL.

 

Quite true... mine that time feels like the bike is not smooth in acceleration...

 

lost of power, pickup wont be as good. i've changed due to recom of mechanic also, but i dont feel anything also.

 

 

 

 

Truely yes ... after studying on the carburator working system,

I also can't figure out on WHY high performance fuel like shell V power can affect or spoil the diaphrgm as claimed.

But nevertheless still carburator needs to be overhauled ( open and clean) around every 10 000 km (bajaj manual stated) since we can't see or know what went wrong from the outside besides just base on FEEL only.

 

THings to aware ..

 

Handling

• Use appropriate screw

drivers.

 

Cleaning

• For cleaning always use

carburettor cleaner like

- Acetone

- Carbon Tetra chloride

- Aerosol

- CVC spray

 

MaintenanceEnsure

• Jets

- Holes are clean.

- Holes are not worn out.

- Size as per specification.

• Float is in good condition.

• Float Pin

- Tip having no wear mark.

- Spring loaded pin is free

in movement.

• Needle Jet

- No wear at taper portion.

- Circlip position is in

specified groove.

• Piston valve

- No wear mark.

- Diaphragm condition

DON'T

• Never use oversize screw

drivers.

• Do not over tighten the jets

and screws.

• These will damage the jets

and their seats.

• Never clean the carburettor

with water.

• Jets & air passages will get

clogged due to sediments if

cleaned by water.

 

Replace

• Jets

- Worn out jet.

- Incorrect size jet.

- Punctured, Squeezed and

distorted float.

- Worn out tip.

- If spring loaded pin is

sticky.

- Needle worn out at taper

portion.

- Piston valve worn out.

Scoring marks.

- Diaphragm punctured.

As alcohol fuels degrade certain types of rubber and metals, some engine components may also need to be replaced.

 

their use can degrade rubber products (such as fuel pipes) and clog fuel injectors in certain conditions.

hmmm.. maybe true lah since there is a vacuum holes at the bottom of the slider and also a bypass route from the diaprgm vacuum chamber to the manifold to suck in and out pushing the diaphgrm up and down .. hehehe cheeers!

i dont think it's the reflector's fault, rather the plastic behind the reflector.

 

also the reflector is sealed together with the head, at least mine is, so plying it out will incur some damage.

 

For fircyber case using H4 in a week .. the reflector burnt totally at the top above the bulb. I was quite shocked too to see myself the black charcoal coloured burnt mark on his reflector.

 

Mine as said .. using H4 Osram Night Breaker for few months already .. just a minimal mark still silver in colour but nevertheless hmmm still observing how long it can last ... hehehehe

if you look at my both helmets after put in both side still got space...

so means both shell size go in will still have space and the helmets each take up abt 1/2 or less of the box space...

my mfizz's shell is even bigger then my hjc...

can fit my hjc and my mfizz in with space to spare also...

 

 

 

you need to at least have electricity supply to your bike for it to even kick start...

thats what i found out at BBDC when my bike suddenly died half way cannot even kick start cos there is totally no electricity supply at all...

 

 

dunoe lei.. the shell shape might be diff.. or shell size is different. makes a big difference also.. maybe yours is truly 45L mine is 42L.. hahah.. i tink the point for crank start is for when ur bike has not electricity no? recall -previous examples who started their bike thou battery not working?
