Went to pick up my paper license just now. It seems India has a new license card and unless I go back and get it changed they cannot issue me the Singapore license :( FML. So disappointed. Sigh

Thats sad to hear bro. Yeah they dont accept the booklet type. You need to have the card type.I too have an Indian DL, but its card type. I initially went to CDC Ubi and they rejected my DL Card stating its not very clear. OfCourse my DL card is from 2004 it wont be clear. So they told me to get a letter from the embassy confirming that its a valid license.

I went to the Indian embassy and they asked me to get a International DL from the Road Transport Authority in Bangalore :faint:

At that time I had already bought my bike. So I was thinking I need to either sell my bike or just keep it unused untill I sort out the issue.

After that I thought of giving BBDC a try and to my delight they accepted my DL card as it is :)

Now you will have to get your license converted to the card type and also make sure your date of birth on the DL matches your passport. Also to be on the safe side get an International DL from India in case they ask you to go to the embassy to verify it.

All the best!!!

some modifications that are pretty safe are

1) coils

2) air filter

3) sprocs

4) engine conditioners(new bike no need to use so soon)

5) fuel additives(choose wisely on which one to use)

6) cosmetic mods

Hmmmm .. asked them more FREE items if you bought your bike 1st hand !!!!

Normally they will give you ... cheap standard helmet, rain coat and option for bike cover or crash bar!! .... try to get all items if unable to ... just begging them with pity faces .. since your wife is there .. ask your wife to nego with them .. hahahaha

by all means if still unable then opt for crash bar rather than bike cover cos crash bar is more worth to get it for FREE!!!! ... In India the bike comes with saree guard but here sorrylah unless your wife can sit side way like in India .. CRASH bar will have you rub your chest with relief if happens your bike fall and kiss the ground!!!

hahahahaha ... WELCOME bro to our Pulsar World one and only exist in Singapore!!!!! ... hmmm or issit???? ...... hehehehehehe

Nice! Lucky :) I went to BBDC and got rejected haha...

Actually mine is not the booklet type! thats the funny part.... Mine is the normal card type, but laminated one.... I got it in 2001.... So its not booklet type..... But apparently now they have another new card! The lady showed another Indian's license to me to me... It looks pretty much like a Singapore driving license! :o With barcode n everything... Thats the one I need to get.... Sigh...

And I dont think I can get an international license either.... I had already applied for it long back and renewed it as well... And IIRC you can renew it only once... Or atleast thats what the agent told me... Not sure about it..... hmmmm

Go to your embassy and ask. No harm.

If you lost your license, would they replace it with a new type?

Hi guys,i badly need help with my bike.

im trying to sell my bike to finance upgrading, but having problem selling it. can i meet up with anyone here that can advice me on what i can do to my bike to facilitate the sale? im at jurong west area!

In addition to what bro MJ has already mentioned put ads on both classifieds section, garage sales section, other sites like gumtree also.

It easier to buy a used bike in SG but tough to sell it SG because of most bike buyers will be just passed their 2B and hence their insurance will be very high so buying a used bike they need to cough up a lot of money upfront so the prefer buying new one and go for loan. Also Bajaj brand is still new to many people unlike Honda or Yamaha brand.

Thats strange my is normal card only.No barcode or anything. I had no problem with BBDC. May be depends on the mood of the inspector. Try at the other 2 driving centers. You dont need to rewrite the test. The score is already there in their system and its centralised so you can go to any of the centers.

Which state license did she show you? Your own state RTO? Do they have barcode type?

Also no point going to Embassy unless the driving center give you the authorization letter. Embassy does nothing but just confirms that your license is valid. For doing that you need to show them NOC letter that you get when you apply for Intl DL in India.

Wierd.... Might be mood... Coz she was pretty pissed off.... There was a group of 4 other indians who approached her one by one in queue and none of them had taken a photo or made copies of their documents :( So she was in quite a bad mood..... Hmmm.... Ok will try in another center as well...... *fingers crossed*

I dunno what state it was... She just showed me from a distance... Didnt pass me to take a look at it.... Mine is tamilnadu/cbe RTO.... Have asked my dad to find out if they even have barcode yet.... Anyways, will see if I can get it done from here thru my dad... Otherwise will just have to make a trip to india for this.... grrrrrrr

yeap .. stock one in India very cheap .. actually my stock have few mm left .. last servicing Ah tek tol me that it can last till my next servicing ... but during my trip to Kota Tinggi and Desaru ... riding with pillion and with the road condition you know i know ... hahaha .. my front brake does not goes very well .... biting like no TEETH hahahah .. at one case otw to kota Tinngi .. traffic light sudden changed to amber .. apllying my both brakes .. my bike can't stop in time .. no choice just beat the red trafffic light!! ... from then I know that my brakes does not works that well .. so have to be more alert through out the whole trip! ...

So once change to SBS brake pads .. the feeling of the grip felt better! .. to those who have used the aftermarket barke pads should know the FEEL when ever you applied the front brake ... more responsive than the stock!!

when your ride feels good .. your confidence be much better on the road!! .. similar like tyres lah! .. heheheheh

been reading reviews about the P135. heard the FC is fantastic. power not too good. but FC alone is worth it. just for daily commute.

Its tank size is small. Cannot go Jb for Top up.

Aslo the FC is good at 40 km/hr that is the speed people ride in India. But at 100 km/hr not sure if FC will be that good.
