Ahaha, I was smiling the whole video, until MJ says "then...ME!" and his face super smiley like that, I exploded laughing in front of my screen ahaha..

It's actually a great quality - when it's not shaking I mean. Maybe you can take another random video (from outside the window or something) so we can see better, but it looks very good given that it was at night..

sbs Scandinavian Brakes System

Oren >

this brake pad is another alternative besides ebc brake pad. It cheaper than ebc 3 x the price. Currently I'm using this brake pad bought at motoworld which the price is still lower than the ebc pad. Was informed that the sbs have similar quality with the ebc in terms of performance. Since I nd to change mine, I gave it a go bought at motorworld to have the price at $35. Tested the brakes and yes it's better than the our stock. Later get to know there is another dealer at Dickson Rd .. so when I checked the place and I have a jaw dropped to know that it cost $18 there!!!!! ... Now waiting for totalpet or alvin to have the final price tag once they have bought the pads there at Dickson Rd.

Fred and gaban >

I believed big bike should be no problem and surely they have the model you are using on your bike ... just inform them your bike model or part numbers and they will check in the list .... or if you have the old pads for sample it's much easiear for them to check too if your bike parts is not in the list ...

same as for bajaj pulsar once I showed him the sample .. he took out the exact one and he made recorded the part numbers in his list after asking me what bike I'm using.

For better gripping and longer life span you can opt for sinter material or even carbon to have more effective brakings but they do have cons also .. hehehee.

Thanks for the info on the pads. I'm at UM now and they checked my bike, said I don't need to change the pads yet because there's still enough tension and the breaks are reactive enough. I'll ask some more about how to know when to change without opening the bike and without riding..

MJ I thought you mentioned that the SBS ones were for the front brakes only, is that correct? If that's the case which part number would be for the rear brakes?

I've read a bit the brake pads thread here on SBF and some are saying that SBS is yes more effective but also needs a bit of warm up in rainy weather to really grip, so it's something to know. Also many people are advising against putting such efficient pads on bikes that don't race or do very high speed because of the risk of rear wheel locking. But I don't understand that point: if your breaking technique is the right one you don't have to worry about rear wheel locking, the type of brake pad doesn't play a part, it's how you use it, isn't it?

Anyway, gonna get my insurance (came to UM to renew, now that Shadow is 1 year old ) and I'm goig back to the office. I'll update my particulars in the list above when I get there!

Am I missing something? I am very sure that all bajaj sold in Singapore comes with drum brakes for the rear? From avenger, cheetak and pulsar?

Oh. Your shadow. Dooh! I should read more thoroughly.

Bajaj Pulsar 180 - UG3 (2007 - )

Suzuki GSXR-400 (2008 - 2009)

Piaggio Vespa GT 200L (2009 - 2011)

Yamaha YBX 125 (2010 - )

Yamaha FZ S1 '05 (2011 - )

both play a part, similar like how there is class 2b, 2a, 2. imagine u just pass 2b, n allowed to ride a 1000cc monster, open throttle, vroom, bang.

also racing pads r tend to be softer, so it'll easily wear out faster. harder pads r less effective. most will choose in between.

Accident can happen anytime, anywhere.

However ask yourself, do you want to fall at 120km/h or 60km/h?

LOL .. yes I know that lah .. I posted just to have you aware of other alternative if sbs (not SBS hehehe) is good enough than no need to order all the way from korea ... dickson rd nearer and maybe cheaper kekekeke ..

ceramic pad is a good choice for daily ride and for transport ride ... cos it does not harm the rotor disc as much as the sinter (metal pads) no doubt it bite better and long lasting than the ceramic pad.
