105@7k RPM is awesome :thumb:. If the front tyre size is changed then you will get speedo error. Smaller front tyre will show higher than the real speed and larger front tyre will show lower than the real speed.

True , but had sync with Super 4 & CBR1000 running side by side + also used a Cat Eye digital speedo to calibrate.....

Ride slow slow. Getting old already..................

Hey guys, went back to the SBS shop to enquire about the compatibility of the new model of ceramic pads. The owner was very diligent and helpful: he pulled a huge SBS catalog book and showed me the exact specs of the pads. Indeed the model he gave me and the one MJ got are the same. Exact same dimensions, thickness, everything.

Apparently it's just a different packaging to target the scooter market segment.

It's always nice to meet shop owners who don't just tell you they know things better than you, but take time to justify and give you all the details with hard evidence. I definitely recommend his shop, and his prices are very very competitive ! :thumb: :thumb:

A note about the reminder spring : Beach Road army supply Market has lots of them in different sizes and colors. It's located on top of the hawker center, at the end of beach road when coming from the city. They also have all sorts of things you can attach to your keychain to make it more obvious. And for those who don't want to pay $60 for the Oxford "H" Hi-Viz harness, you can find a cheaper version there too. They cam make it custom made for you, with many available hi-Viz colors.

sian...this morning when i turned on the power my voltage is only 11.8v...then when riding the max it will go up to 14.2v...when stop at traffic light my voltage is 13.4v only...

sian...think is my batt going liao...

Readng back some old posts - Alvin, did you change your battery ?

Mine is always showing these figures. Never more than 12V when I start - usually 11.9V.

Then on the road, doesn't go above 14.2 or 14.3

And idle voltage when stopped at red lights is usually 13V around there. I thought all this was normal.. o_O

Doesn't it depend on how many things are plugged to your battery ? Like for me there's the horn, the earth plug, the alarm, the bullets and the Nightbreaker headlight.

Although I am an electronics engineer by education, I never grasped the concepts well as I wanted to be a software engineer.:cheeky:

I did some research and found this link:

http://www.kpsec.freeuk.com/voltage.htm

It seems if the devices are connected in series the voltage is divided and current remains contant and if the devices are connected in parallel the current gets split and the voltage remains constant.

Bro, do you know whether any of these is water-proof/can be used in light rain? Or do these come with a separate liner to be used during rain? Also, your cousin is at Kaki Bukit or Lavender? I find the people at Lavender shop extremely unhelpful, just wondering which one should I go to?

Just a bit of feedback on Motoworld Lavender: Been there a few times and the guy who's taking care of the shop is very helpful. Now some of you might say it's because I'm girl, and ang moh and all that, but I've seen him take time and deliver the same service to all his customers. He always makes sure you get to try whatever you want, looks for all sizes to make sure you've tried and seen what fits you best and his info is always accurate on when they will have stock and what's the best shop to go to. Usually Lavender shop is also less packed that's why now I try to go to this shop rather than Kaki Bukit, because the service is a bit faster.

For 3rd party it is $187 with 10% NCD. For 3rd Party fire and theft its higher I guess 300+

Last year my insurance premium was $202. So its about 7.5% less than last time. Although we get 10% NCD the insurance premiums keep rising every year. So net effect is its not exactly 10% discount :(

What is your premium for MSIG?

Btw guys, pulsar can easily get 50km/l fc?

For 15Ltrs you can get about 700 kms if you ride as you please. So FC about 45-46 is easily achievable. If the rider rides at 5-6k RPM i.e. about 70-80 kms/Hr then definitely higher is achivable may be even 55 km/ltr :)

try the new bikemart. The quote was from a WTT Insurance agency.

Accident can happen anytime, anywhere.

However ask yourself, do you want to fall at 120km/h or 60km/h?

Just now almost met an accident after the junction between little india and selegie. A stupid white Renault Trafic big van cut into my lane abruptly without signal. After which, saw an accident below the flyover of upper serangoon road at the junction of bradell and bartly road between a spark and a car. Luckily the couple on the bike were alright... Be careful guys, nowadays the road is getting crazier.

When others get into accident, our insurance has to pay part of the price. Really dun understand this theory. Do we insured our own vehicle or we chip in and help others to pay too. Haha. I remember last week Christopher told me that this year premium going to raise again. Every year I see my NCD increased, I dun feel happy @ all becoz my premium is rising much faster!

Have a look how dirty my front sprocket area. When I had changed my sprockets and chain at Ah Boy, I asked them if they can clean it. They said need to use petrol to clean it :faint:

BTW, why should speedaddict remove the front sprocket cover, Is there a chance of leak from there?

nope unless the gasket leaks... btw i clean that area with engine degreaser... then lube with engine oil...

Saw 1 accident last week, and another one this morning. Both on Bukit Timah road, one at a junction, one at the end of the "tunnel". Both between 2 cars.

Definitely full moon syndrom these days. Or maybe there's something in the kopi or tea these days !

Be careful with the rain, make sure you're visible, and make sure your lights all work well ! I often see bikes without proper front and back lights.. after 5pm it gets darker, and when it rains, I wonder how they except driver to see them..

Thanks bro. I just completed the form for quotation and submitted.

Can you post the exact link please ? went to bikemart but could find the right page..
