Yeah, on the expressway it's definitely different, we can "escape" and look for cocoons of space and not be bothered - try riding a bit in town on peak hours, you'll see it's a total different story.

Agree the important thing is to enjoy the ride and to get home safely, but even if I ride defensively all the time, sometimes the road cowboys just get to me... It's always better to be pacifist and be nice to others, but how difficult is it to hit the signal button when you want to turn ? Instead of acting like you're alone on the road..

Today's ride was particularly crazy, so I suppose it got me upset. The good thing about it is I decided to fix the camera on my bike. I've been lazy to do it, but today I realized its use. And it could be fun to document things like this:

@Fredd, Singaporeans are much much better compared to Aussies. Aussies are can start a quarrel in the middle of the road pull out a knife and stab you. The law there isn't even strict enough to deter those thugs.

That's the risk with any angry person anywhere in the world but Singapore lol...

Leaking like this :(

Don't worry follow step by step because is major leak>> Should be easy to find

1. Check any oil leak from oil drain plug? If Yes tighten the screw/change if spoil/need to retrack the hole.

2. Check any oil leak from gear shift shaft? If yes, then need to change the oil seal/shaft seal.

3. Open out air filter box see the leak is from that area. If there is oil clean it. Oil inside the air filter box because top up too much oil/engine tuning problem.

4. If all above OK. Then wash the bike from engine to below very clean. Open up 2 side cover ask the washer spray clean clean. Then see oil leak from where after maybe 1 or 2 day.

Hope to try and reply to us.

hows the shirt coming? i gave the rough price of making alr few posts before..

I'm following the logo lead and I'll be happy to make t-shirts once we have it, but can't we find cheaper ?

Ideally what I want us to do, is to raise some money by selling the t-shirts to our members. Let say the t-shirt will be 15-20 SGD, if we manage to make it somewhere at 10-15, it's worth the shot to raise money for our group, no ?

Maybe Sc_Gaban you can investigate in Malaysia where we could have some t-shirts done with embroidery for a good price ?

@mjbs64, can you please check the rates for that too with our Indo friends ?

I think if it's to make 1 or 2 t-shirts then SG is fine and the prices you got for us Speed are fine. But if we want all of us to get the same design and same t-shirt, it's worth looking for better rates, no ?

Project No 1.

Finally mounted my shinnob sprockets & chain = DIY stye.

Tools required 1) Chan breaker 2) Full set of wrench 3) Lots of time & patience @ 55mins:)

Road test results;

1) From Yishun Ave 4 to Science Park II = +/- 26km. Via Mandai BKE-PIE-Clementi Underpass-AYE-GAP-Science Park II.

Verdict

1)Top end speed = +/- 125km/h.Rpm 7k = 90km/h. (Shinnob sprocket size 15/40).

Previously = +/- 140km/h. Rpm 7k = 105km/h. (Fabricated sprocket size 14/38).

2)Pick up = 0 to 80km/h = Rpm 6k 4th gear.

Previously = 0 to 80km/h = Rpm 5.5k 4th gear.

3)Was totally impressed with the smoothness of the ride; be it when pulling off from red lights or gunning the redline for top speed. The differrence was obvious.

But as expected, will lose top end speed due to sprocket ratio upsized. But, you gain some, you lose some. Loose some speed for smoothness of the ride; i'm happy with that. This is my own verdict & conclusion. I'm not paid or sponsored by Shinnob. Just my frank opinion. :)

Bought a Spark LC 135 brake pump RM35 , Spark LC135 brake lever RM 8. Brake fluid RM8. Total = RM51. (SGD 21.61)

DIY project.Fitted & tested = OK. Will try to do stoppies once the brake had bleed in...:)

Can we do a DIY stoppie session ? I wanna learn how to do these but never got the courage to practice by myself... :shy:

Can you post a pic of what the brake pump cast is ? Why did you have to get a new brake lever as well ?

The guy has been riding 20 different bikes or so - At some point, you have to learn how to do things yourself instead of paying a mechanic, specially if you want to save money to get a 21th bike :o

To think it took me 4h to take out the headlight assembly and put it back, after doing a very basic wiring exercise...:pity::pity::pity:

Hear hear.

Its my opinion that everyone who rides a bike should be able to do an oil change, plug change, tighten chain, on their bikes, on their own.

Its the reason why a new bike is bundled with a standard tool kit. Its there to be used.

Does it need an adapter? Ive had a suspicion that it may be a perfect fit for a while now.
