front brake still stock, seldom use also, same braking pattern as oren. :cheeky:

I think we should have an excel template uploaded somewhere and have it as a sticky that tells exactly what we have done to our bikes. For eg.

Rider Bike Front Tyre Rear Tyre Spark Plugs Engine Oil

Revhappy P180 UG2 Dunlop TT900 80/80 R17 Dunlop TT900 100/80 R17 NGK CR9E Chex 9000 10W50 FS

Sprocket Ratio Other Accessories

38/15 None

We should have something like a standard template and then this will act as a ready reckoner for newbie riders when it comes to changing stuffs. What you guys say?

Feedback on my use of the HD HERO GOPRO camera, used it for 3 rides so far.

Pros:

- very easy to manipulate and use (don't listen to people saying the menu is difficult, it's absolutely not)

- very small, compact, and looks rugged, can resist well

- dropped it from bike height on the concrete floor, it was in the casing. Scratch on the casing, everything else is as new - the camera didn't even stop recording, kinda cool

- Charges fast, about an hour on the wall charger, 2-3h on the computer USB - you can also use a specific battery charger, same as those you use for your photo camera

- Extra wide angle makes the shot while riding pretty amazing. You can see not only your road, but all its lanes + the lanes from the other side of the road. When riding in the middle of a wide area, it's just beautiful

- the lens has the fish eye effect to capture the wide angle better, I think it gives the video a very cool perspective

- the HD mode is breath taking in quality, and even the lowest fps in 720p is super crisp

- the camera comes with a waterproof casing that's very very easy to use, put on and off

- the camera comes with a lot of different ways to fix it: helmet 3M bases, pivot arms, handlebar mount, rollbar mount etc.. Some are included in the camera package when you buy it, some are sold separately.

- the helmet mount is great

- the suction cup mount is very sturdy, but need absolute flat surface to stick it on to. If not, it will drop.

- the camera can take photos, the quality is quite good for such a little camera made for video

- it is naturally muffling out the loud noises, so it's great for recording the rides, it doesn't have the wind sound (anyway with the waterproof case on, not much noise can get in)

Cons:

- no screen to review your shooting angle, so when you want to place the camera somewhere, you have to record, take out the SD card to view the video on your computer, and put back to adjust. Basically, the placement is done in a blind way. To counter this you can either buy the back LCD screen attachable to the camera from Gopro (USD 79) or plug the camera to a small LCD and do live adjustment

- because of our terrific weather, the camera housing fogs up : when you close the case in a moist/humid hot air environment (i.e anywhere in SG), and then you ride in a colder environment

(the wind blowing is enough to cool it), then there's a chance fog will form up. You can still record, but the video has a "cloud" effect on it. Not good at all. To counter this, you can use little silicone packets or put anti-fog spray on the inside of the case. Have not tried it yet.

I am still trying to figure out how to encode my videos to upload on youtube/vimeo without loosing the quality. As soon as I'm done fiddling with the video editing program, I'll upload them, I'm sure that's what everyone wants to see.

I'll then post a full review with the specs of the camera, where to buy it for the best price and where to buy its accessories.

So far I'm super happy with it, it's wide angle is just terrific and I can't wait to use it more and more.

I need to find a sure way to fix on the handlebar. For now it's on the top of my helmet which gives me a great footage of my ride, and enough close shooting that it can serve as a witness video if I get into an accident. The problem obviously with having the camera on the helmet is that everytime you check your blind-spot or turn your head, the camera follows..

i think they will still allow...

with the led will be more visible...

tap to headlight switch lor...

confirm the lights illegal, i was thinking of taping to signal lights, the leds doesnt help much on the front. n doing this way wont attract much attention esp from TP.

but during inspection, confirm need to DC.

Accident can happen anytime, anywhere.

However ask yourself, do you want to fall at 120km/h or 60km/h?

i think if all of us are to do it then the template will be super super long...

maybe a list of aftermarket items that can change and the rough cost...

do it in a forum post and just get those interested to refer to that post like what we did for the servicing list...

My mini project. Actuali nothing much juz dat whenever i go jb i dun like to put passport in my jeans coz quite troublesome. so this i can put my keys(remember i told u guys i keep losin my keys, passport n ringgit for jb trips, iphone n mp3 n use on the go and for touring so i dun need to always open my box etc etc. ). if u wan it waterproof..put plastic bag inside..haha..i had it done wif velcro so dat i can detach it n use it as a slingbag. it may not look nice to some..but its practical for me coz i like to ride lightly..without bags n pouches ard me.

AXO HandGuard ..

Colour .. Black only!! lol

Price .. that's what I know and yes lah online or ebay for sure can get cheaper .. it's good if it's cheap and can do MO ... hehehe

Plug and Play .. like said lots of hand guards in the market but not sure the one we keen can just plug and play one .. Speed and gaban went to JB to find Hanguard for Speed, found the cheap one but too bad on left side handle cannot fit .. I not sure why either .. Gaban suggested to DIY on the left but Speed not interested ...

Reason why I post is just to share if anyone interested for this model which have been used and tested on Pulsar and other bikes too in Indonesia.

I will gather more info on this here to share ... interested or not .. it's up to you lah. lol

Plastic expensive than aluminium is becos made in different country ... Plastic quality much better reason if fall the aluminium may damage easily .. that's what they told me too ...

Hmm .. seriously lah to gather info from Indon parts .. can drag lots of time spent by the way they responded to your question .. maybe Alvin knew too .... hehehe

Oh LED what if caught by TP ... Bro HVC been stopped before for his flashing LED rear brake light like Alvin using ... What the TP said to him was ... to avoid using the multy flashing cos it irritates him too ... hehehe so he told HVC if use simple one .. they can close one eye! .. kekekee

Me using LED white under my rear fender .... so far I believe lah as mine is just a simple and not too flashy and purpose just to have more visibility during night and heay downpour riding on the road, I have that excuse to On it during my ride. But for Inspection matter .. that's another story lah kkkkkakakakakakakaka

said is "close one eye", but if that TP low on quota, anything he also catch. so just to know what's legal n illegal, it's at ur own risk. when get caught, plead for mercy, rather than showing off it's just a small thing.
