try to pillion someone on ur bike n give some feedbacks.

$15. new ones only cos RM$20 bux. reconsider ur offer man....

okay pillioned; pickup not noticably slower with pillion, then again my clutch control has always been fair at best and my pillion wasn't heavy. i forgot to mention that the sprocket cost $35, and the labour $5.

**** really? should i have had it changed at jb instead then, @#$%. okay selling for S$8 then.

wavy difference of one or two teeth shouldn't make that much difference, i think 33 will be fine for you too. you can meet me and try mine first ah. previous post i said i have no recollection of beating a light, so presumably got camera caught

haha whatt. is there something in the air? i got the same problem just now on ecp; had two bars of petrol left, pushed the bike to 107 then suddenly she started jerking and sputtering. clutched in to the shoulder and let it rest for a while, then started off again; few hundred metres at 70 same problem. repeat, reached home but engine had a weird tinny sound overlaying the usual engine sound. worrying! anyone know how to adjust fuel-air ratio? now i think the ratio's leaning too much on the air side.

....also i changed the stock sprocket of 38 teeth to 33. pickup i didn't really find to be smoother; if anything, at low revs the bike wobbles slightly....

Its all depends on your clutch and throttle control bro... \m/

both me and my pillion are heavy. i can't sacrifice that much of pickup. even now with 38 teeth my p200 has problem moving off on those steeper slopes with my pillion. by myself the bike is wonderful. but think need class 2A to have enough power to haul the a$$es of both my pillion and i

when i pillion my fren and our combined wt of ~160kg, i can feel my engine crying for help... hhahah... engine oso store quite a few times moving off at junction.... sian im still a noob rider...

o ya that leads me to a question...

Is it normal that after my engine store i straight away start it n my digimeter console backlight will go off? once my headlight oso go off together wif the console backlight... hit highway liao den realised... at nite somemore! no light like damn dangerous and stealthy haha... lucky 1 or 2 exits only...

this happen to me quite a few times b4.. i think it is becos nv warm up the bike long enough.

enlighten me if i'm wrong

i have the same problem. more annoying than anything, having to force it to start by pulling choke.

hahaha.. happen to me also.. than what i did is i just warm up my bike a bit longer lor.. i never pull my choke lah.. i just 'throttle' in on stationary than if smooth than i ride lor..

my own theory and sense is cos the hot weather might dry up the petrol leading to the carb.....so when u start the bike.. than move off after a while the petrol finish liao.. than thats why must let the petrol 'flow' fully before it move smoothly..

i think so lah.. just my stoopid tots only lah.. dun know the real theory lor.

maybe others can explain to us in more details and easy to understand.

haha proradar.. tot nemesis told you the reason already during our meetup??

when engine stall, restarting the engine immediately will have its side effects. digi-console will not light up, along with headlights and tail lights i believe. wait for a few seconds before you restart. but when on the move and engine dies.. boh bian must quickly start.. then move to safe place to cut engine and wait then restart loh.

noob question to ask ah.. my bike already ran abt 600+km.. meter shows fuel around 1/3 left.

when do i knw when to open my reserve? The meter like not accurate.. was showing full bar for 1 sec. Then suddenly drop till half!

My 1st pump was at 30th Sept. Full tank $28.

Time to pump? How to feel if the meter is not accurate?

the meter doesn't go proportionately with the amount of fuel.

imagine the fuel gauge like a vertical ruler.. however our fuel tank is not shaped proportionately.. more like an oval than a cylinder with straight sides.

fuel gauge will show that its full to about 400km then start to decline rapidly.

you will only need to open your reserve when your bike actually dies from lack of fuel. means its after the last 2 bars with the red warning light on. even on reserve, we still can clock a reasonable distance before it runs dry.

when to top up is entirely up to you. but if you want to find out a full tank's mileage.. then run it till you have to on the reserve. then u know the mileage.

the scenerio quite different cos when the engine store the key to the engine still at on... that time lindavw told me that when u turn the key to on nid to wait for the rpm needle to go up and down b4 starting...

so for pulsar when engine store hor... the right way to restart is to...

A) wait few seconds then start

B) turn the key off/on den start

C) any other recommendations

so paiseh for the very noob question:sian: ... when i learning in sch i jus restart straight away ( countless times) haha....:dozed:
