Wanna check with the electrical experts here. If I wish to buy a LED signal lights, will it be pluck & play or I must mod or put something like resistor or something? I very very little about electrical stuffs… but I

Know LED bulbs use very little power…

anyway recently I change my tail light to those LED tail light but after a few hours it goes ‘kaput’… I tot it was my wiring but when I buy a new normal bulb it can work.

So wondering lah izzit the electric flow too much to the LED brake light that it goes kaput? Pls advice.

Woah. You changed your tailboard from V2 to UG3? Radical.

Anyways the current required for LED lights are normally much lower than the 12v bulbs. Each LED bulb tends to be 0.5 volts. Keep adding it up in parallel series, and thats the required voltage for the tail light. Eg, 12 0.5v LED bulbs in parallel will require 6v of current. Too much voltage, and the light will glow much brighter, but it will burn out very fast.

You may require a step down transformer if you wish to continue using the LED tail light.

Bro, does your led have a resistor on it, if not you need to add one to prevent too much current going through your led.

Bro, actually it is the current in the circuit that kills the leds.

But because of the equation V=IR (Ohm's law), increase in voltage(V) causes increase in current(I).

Therefore Bro Goof should increase the resistance® so that current(I) remains within save value when voltage(V) increases.

To be on the safe side Bro Goof need to calculate base on 14V instead of 12V, that because when moving along, voltage is around the 13.5v to 14v region.

Pulsars have rpm cut to protect the engine from going into self destruction mode.

Pulsars are meant to be a daily transport bike with excellent fuel consumption, so actually no need to bother whether there is any kind of power restriction.

usually the ready made signal or tail light the resistor is already calculated.i dun see any possibility of the LED burning off. get back to ur supplier maybe something wrong wif the LED bulb instead.

unless u buy raw LED then DIY urself into a bulb then maybe u got the calculations wrong.

yes Pulsars and in fact all bikes in spore have power cut.
