er.. i would if i had the cash and a stable income, and buying a property isn't what u call u short termed investment. i need liquidity!

yes! that was what i thought when on my first pump for the UG2, how the hell did i get 19.5 litres in there.. i switched to reserve at 765 and rode an additional 150km on reserve before deciding to sneak into JB for a pump. usual riding style(okay i spend more time in the 80s on my last 50km).

first shell had some problems with credit card payment, i went on the caltex , Saw the price of the premium 97 at RM2.9, card got accepted.. but the station pump dude kept on standing there and watching me. so i pretended to put fuel addictives n waited for him to go off, which he didn't, and started telling me to faster pump.. i feigned innocense and swiftly grabbed the ron95 nozzel, to realize that it was locked.. before he could tell me off, i pretended that i wanted Vpower and left without pumping.

Went to another shell, this chinese uncle kept looking at me and asking me which fuel i want.. and didn't managed to dupe him into going away or letting me pump ron95. So had no choice but to pump like 5l of Vpower 97 at RM2.9!!

then i went on to another caltex. thankfully, this place was shorthanded and there's only one pump attendant running around 5 pumps. managed to pump another 13.7l of ron95.

total petrol = 18.7l

Btw i was aiming for the hallmark of 1k per tank cos on the ug 2. that's when it gets reset to 0.

 

19 May 2011 SHELL-IBZI HOLDINGS JOHOR MY MYR 35.30 = 18.57l ---> my virgin P200 JB pump. i'll be throwing more crazy numbers once i get the nerves to try 200km on reserve before pumping.

Humble advice on investing: save first. Save save save save. Work, get the money in. Work a bit more, young=can tahan so work. Save.

 

Once the savings start looking like something, buy something that'll last and grow in value (a property a house an apartment a piece of land, whatever). It doesn't have to be in Singapore! Many countries allow foreigners to buy properties, given a bit of paperwork, a bit of getting off one's ass to make it happen.

 

Rent it or let it sleep and grow in value with time, up to you. Come back 5 years later and be grateful for it's new value and your tenacity that made you accomplish it.

 

Probably less exciting than trading or gambling, but steady and impossible to miss.

wow, i didn't know about the thing with agents. And yes, if i had the capital means, i would invest in property too. gambling is too stressfull for me as i've always been a prudent one who takes calculated risks.. and the stress i experienced yesterday was tremendous. Because previously i lost 900+ back as i deviated from my plans, mostly losing to multiple freak streaks of 9-10 consecutive 'big' / 'small'.. That lost scarred me hence i was afraid of taking on streaks last night. but at least i did manage to build up the buffer before losing it all in the very next round.. NOT GONNA GAMBLE AGAIN.

Aww.. how dangerous of you. it might have hit another biker and caused a chain of accidents ;X later u receive invitation letter from Tp, cos they found ur pass at the Accident scene.

Actually, i've lost alot of stuff while riding.. 2 phones, bike covers.. and even a helmet..

If you are going to Sim Lim square, you can park on the last street along the Jalan Besar road. There are bike parking lots there and its free too.

My new pulsar finally came to reserve from a full tank. The meter reading from full tank to reserve is 694 kms! Another 2 ltrs of reserve will take it to 800 kms.

So I can claim my full tank can reach 800 kms

Just came back from JB. Filled 17.2 ltrs. Noticed some changes today. They now take finger prints and put a sticker on our passports. Damn, this time they wasted half page of my passport due to that stupid sticker. Now only about 10 pages

 

Another thing I noticed is in Ah Gua lane Esso, they have put a warning notice stating Singaporeans are not allowed to fill RON 95 and the management wont be responsible for any legal issues. Hmmm. I was a bit worried while filling today.
