hello all. i'm thinking of installing a shroud and bellypan (wavy don't comment), what do you guys think? is there a risk of overheating? (can comment now wavy )

 

i was quoted $120 by LAB for both + installation, is that reasonable?

our size is not 520 or 525 la. 520 is aprilla size. think they purposely dun wan to change one lor.

 

 

confirm.. when the shop guy tell me that cannot just change the rear.. must change whole set.. that made me think a while.. cannot be what.. so I ask him to explain how come.. i said cannot be can change one set but cannot just change rear sprocket.. zzz

 

the guy gave the lousiest excuses.. even brought out a wave sprocket to show us and told us don't believe go compare..

Normally when we change chain... is together with sprocket front and rear.. consider 1 set... no point just changing the chain or a single sprocket...

 

Unless.... your bike is new... you can onli downsize the sprocket without changing the chain...

 

When going to AGL... Look for HOU HENG MOTORSPORT. that where we change our sprocket.

 

Disclaimer : WE can use other OEM part.. but it is still advise to stick to bajaj original parts.

Go there look for ah di... tell him you want to change sprocket... he knew what to do.

Belly pan is comestic purpose onli... might be useful in someway...

You can use either RXZ belly pan or S4 belly pan...

 

S4 belly pan... hard to find in AGL

RXZ.... easy to find... as usual go to HOU HENG...

roadrunner, we heard you well. all about ug2 with kill switch onwards, wave rear sprocket and rxz front sprocket. but what we heard from varies from 'we don't have sprocket for pulsar', 'if you want to change, must change whole set. RM125.', 'change wave sprocket can, but must change chain also cos size sprocket different' to 'can meh?' for most.

not all ug2 with kill switch can use wave/rxz rear sprocket(5 holes). Mine and Vespa wan using 6 holes. so only can use bajaj oem wans!!!!

 

Vespa try to changing the hub to normal 5 holes wan. but cant fit.

 

so the only thing i think is to CHANGE THE WHOLE REAR RIM.

by saying lesser teeth should clock higher speed, you are assuming that a bike has infinite power.

 

so now we can assume, that either the stock 38 teeth is the best ratio its engine can draw.. or the best ratio is somewhere between 33 to 38 teeth..

Shops which claimed no sprocket for Pulsar, most probably never dealt with Pulsars b4 so can't blame them if they dunno. Shops which said must change whole set of sprockets and chain, most probably are bz and/or dun find it worth it for their business to go thru the hassle just to change rear sprocket. But RM125 is too much. Did u guys bargain by quoting the RM80 cost that some riders here paid for the same job? N told them u have 4 Pulsars to be worked on?

Ur UG2 has engine kill switch but 6-hole rear sprocket? Strange cos UG2 with engine kill switch, like mine, comes with stock 4-hole, not 5-hole by the way, rear sprocket. Suvespa's Pulsar is the oldest UG2 here (FZ plate and old Bajaj logo), with 6-hole rear sprocket and no engine kill switch. Suvespa tried to change rear sprocket and hub to 4-hole, not 5.

By lowering the gear ratio, you are trading some effective low-end torque for increased effective high-end HP, but the actual total HP for the bike has not increased.

2 variants of UG2 FBA plate - without engine kill switch and 6-hole rear sprocket, and with engine kill switch & 4-hole rear sprocket. So I'm puzzled that urs has engine kill switch but 6-hole rear sprocket.
