To All ...

I'm in contact with the person doing the ported slider for the carb in india ... I'm intending to bring in 5 sets of this ported slider ... ( ported slider, spring and diaphrgm) ...

I'm still waiting for the price tag + shipping .. if any of you guys interested do let me know .. fyi the price of the sets is around the same more or less with the stock diaphrgm only at UM.

I'ved been using the slider since feb 2011 till now .. the last I did washed the carb and change the jettings on 22 Jun and ah tek told me that the diaphrgm is in good condition and it's maintain dry not like most when open the carb, the diaphrgm is wet...

Will confirm the price if he has replied to me ... for what is the ported slider and the benefits ... see the link above.

For the diaphrgm from alvin you can keep for spare also if your diaphrgm get spoilt. Let us know here ... hehehehe

Cheers!

Got my bike today. Is hard for me to change neutral gear ,is it the time to change chain n sprocket ?where u guys change n how much the cost for o ring chain?n recommend sprocket size for more high speed. .thanks

Bro, if it is hard to change to neutral, try to adjust the clutch free play. My phantom too had that issue. The free play should be perfect, i.e. it shouldn't be too tight or too loose. No need to change your chain or sprocket for this issue.

O-Ring chain and sprocket is slight expensive than standard ones. I believe yours is P200 with open chain cover, so it must be already having O-Ring 520 size.

I guess a new set will cost 100+. You can change anywhere, including Ah-Boy.

For higher top-end speed you will have sacrifice pickup. You will have to reduce the teeth on your rear sprocket. I think stock size is 14 front and 38 rear.

You could do a 14 front and 35 rear or 15 front and 38 rear, both will have same effect.

Cheers!

Quite satisfied despite the rain and slippery road.

The only showstopper was the $70/$100 summon for parking on pavement outside. :(

My story ... the longest day spent at UM

Primary :

Top Engine and Clutch Side Overhaul - Periodic Maintenance on my Pulsar 200 SplitFire = 45589 km

Why I do it? ... cos I need to see hoe the condition of my SplitFire and also it's time ...

According to Manual Book ....

39. Cylinder head de-carbonising & valve lapping : CLEAN : Every 30000kms

40. Valve oil seals : REPLACE : Every 30000kms

4. Engine oil (SAE 20W50 of API SG+JASO MA) : REPLACE : Every 5000 kms

5. Oil strainer / Centrifugal filter : CLEAN : Every 10000 kms

8. Carburettor : CLEAN , ADJUST : Every 10000 kms

11. Spark plug / gap : CLEAN ,ADJUST : 10000 kms

12. Spark plugs (2 Nos.) : REPLACE : 10000 kms

before .. carbon deposit not that thick however AFR more to lean causes the valve for exhaust too hot but still again not too lean until it thinner the valve and long run eventually will break. A lesson here .. rich is always better than lean but not toooooooo rich or toooooo lean!! ..
