any brand also can? or they have diff sizes?

Any brand is ok. Mech will use the 'jet-air blower' to install the new grips.

Probably will wait see COE trend first :)

Btw, am I the only Chinese here? Cos so far... i only saw our indian bro (near my blocks) with Pulsar wor... :cheeky:

If u are getting 1st hand.. UM has on hand COE.

Nope u r the the only chinese here. In fact we have a quite a no. of chinese here. I am one too. :D

Haha... cant deny full fairing on those sport bike look chio lor... but of cos need to consider other practical stuff such as value for money etc. Those sportbike... IMO is quite overpriced sia. Anyway, Pulsar quite caught my eye too, cos it's ... huge :thumb:

i too like the look of sport bikes.. but when i thought of getting KRR the other time.. i kept hearing stuff like.. "later ur piston piang!" :sian:

Smile! Tomorrow will be worse.

200cc for u nia! i onli 180..

and hor, dun like u all la!! bo ta bao curly fries for me..

btw guys, ever thought of changing the throttle grip? Today i rode without my glove (cuz its wet from the rain ytd).. my hand.. pain ley.. cuz of those ball like kind on it.. doesnt it have smooth rubber ones?

cannot wo... curly fries illegal in singapore.. wait kena caught

heh I just changed my grip to PlayLife, the softer one. cos i hate the pimples of the stock grip when there is vibrations. now its oh so soft.. :cheeky: dunno psychological a not but feels like it helps to absorb vibrations a bit due to the non-pimple-ly surface. damage is only $15 ringgit.

but hor.. advice you don't change the handlebar balancers har? is that what its called? the two end things that stick out of the handlebar.. aftermarket ones tend to be lighter and is not as effective for absorbing vibrations.. i think thats what totalpet told me.. i had to pay a tuition fee then know that

oh btw i bought it at JB ahboy, $15rm a pair. other shops sell between $17 to 22 a pair.

its normal.. all bikes also will have vibrations..

but vibrations should be less significant at 8+k rpm i believe.. should be more noticable at 6+k rpm??

anyway congrats bro! next time join us for outing yeah :)

haha i like the nakedness of pulsar.. easy to clean and easier to diy servicing.

but i see most of you fellow forumers like to 'dress-up' your pulsar.. but i must say the indian photoshop one really looks nice ^ ^ but its not for me lah..

naked is the way to go.. omg am i a hippie?

Haha, mine is 2nd hand, 15k mileage, but engine top overhaul already by UM, so, no idea if there's run-in for top overhaul? At least that's what the mech told me la, that it was overhauled by them. Also dunno when/how long ago. But neither he nor David mentioned running it in, so, just whack whack to test test. lol.

hhhmmmm, i haven't really noticed yet. but i do know that at 8K+RPM the vibration fierce until handlebars buzzing, machiam handling chainsaw. d'yall once in awhile get this "clack-clack-clack" sound while downshifting to use engine brake and slowly easing out the clutch?

haha, sure sure, will be fun to see what the other pulsars look like and get some ideas on minor mods! c'ya guys soon i hope!

usually top overhaul need to run in also.. for the pistons to set.

but if it was overhauled some time ago with mileage on the new engine top then nvm... better call David to doublecheck.

if we pack come back spore hor.. i think curly fries will bcome straight fries liao.. maybe put in oven can turn back into curly fries ba..

Thanks!

All these really attracting me. Actually I don't really go into speed, so I am not considering those sport bike like SP or KR. But I do love the style of sport bike with those full fairing etc. So my final candidate so far are:

1. Pulsar 200 - all rounder good, best for value. OTR 6.5K+. The only thing is the engine part being exposed as in naked bike. Hmm... any idea we can chng the full fairing in SG? I saw the pic in India super chio but not sure here can or not.

2. Yamaha YZF R125 - Super ex but chio... but no power. Anyway, its... chio lor :cheeky:

hmm.... how eh... :dot:

maye u can be the next provin. P200 with SP/KR fairing..! i guess the bikemotor ppl will have a hard time thinking how to mount it in.. :giddy:

haha paiseh scared kena suan mah.. i so noob..

to reduce vibrations.. you might wanna consider changing your rear sprocket to less teeth. but take note not to reduce it by too much or else u will sacrifice pickup. scroll to a few pages before, there is some posting on sprocket teeth and suggested ratio from Goof and Roadrunner bros. Good advice :thumb:

i heard changing front tyre might reduce vibrations also.. but i don't understand the physics behind that claim. reduce wobbling maybe... but vibrations.. hmm..

Posted
ehh... diff as in better or worst ah? Can share not?

hmm not exactly worse or better lah.. just different from p180 loh.

maybe slightly more troublesome.. cos mech shops in JB refuse to sell only the rear sprocket.. you imagine all of us go and change rear sprockets there then what they do with their leftover front sprockets? lol..

so they made it a rule for p200 to change as a set.. they will still do your business.. but must as a set.. chain plus front n back sprockets, which is about $75 ringgit. and that is the normal chain.. if want gold chain need to topup to $1xx.. i forgot how much

don scare le.. i think no one wil suan u wan.. jus correct u only.. relax le..

fatter chain means more damage to ur pocket also..
