Thanks MJ bro and Doomxxx for your suggestion. I found the Cooker hood filter from Giant for 3$ so tomorrow I can ride to office

 

It looks pretty thin, so should I make it 3 layers or 4 layers?

 

Mine 3 layer. Because 4 layer too thick cannot put in. If your 4 layer can put in then go for 4 layer.

This filter better than $10 sponge sell in UM. It does not absorb so much oil compare to the sponge.

Sponge absorb the oil and block the air hole(less air go thru). This type filter(aircon/kitchen filer) does not absorb so much oil.

So I have created my own DIY air filter I put 3 layers of that cooker hood filter and put it in the stock filter frame along with the mesh.

Went for round, initially felt a bit sluggish, may be thats psychological or may be because engine cold or may be the material is new. But after sometime felt normal and no difference in sound.

I dont think have much different. So far my pulsar 180 mileage is about 46km/l always crusing on expressway full speed 110~115km/h.

So your bike also EO pops out into the air filter box is it? . This is my 3rd pulsar, 1st and the 3rd pulsar EO pops out, 2nd pulsar EO never pop out into the AF box. Looks like its a common issue.

I use normal cheap engine oil. Brand TOTAL price RM22/litre.

My from sprocket reduce one size from original.

If find a pulsar that speed that me. So far never see any pulsar overtake me.

Before oil also pop into AF. Now no more.

What I do is. Change AF, tune carb problem solve. Also if the choke spoil also cause the problem because rpm will up if choke not close.

After solve all the problem now FC 46km/l before just like you said engine oil pop out the FC is 38km/l.

Now like the bike become better condition.

all our hand guards have slight scratches on it due to the packaging...

the scratches are not that visible...
