correctomundo! that's exactly what i had in mind. front brake spongy spongy, but brake pads new, so figure either fluid or hose or worse, so, replace cheap one first, heh heh. any idea where's good to go in agl?

i changed my front brake pad, but end up like no stopping power also. then had to change this -> http://www.singaporebikes.com/forums/attachment.php?attachmentid=80160&stc=1&d=1226070330 at UM for $45. fyi, mine bike turning 3 years old, so that part got wore out.

I have already registered... will host a meetup and let you guy fill in the form asap

crap, 45bucks, that ain't cheap. any idea what the heck that thing is? hazarding a guess, is that the master cylinder piston? shucks, 45bucks for that darned thing. Will try change fluid first see if any help hehe.

btw, what you feel when that thing spoil, no braking power no matter how hard you press? lever like spongy spongy, you squeeze damned hard the lever will move alot until it slows down and becomes sorta soft and slowly continues to depress when you squeeze even harder?

or like too easy to squeeze already, like no resistance and too much freeplay?

that thing is inside the brake fluid reservoir wan.

after i change my brake pad, then while i depress the front brake when on the go, it seems like toally powerless. i tried changing the brake fluid but to no avail, until the mechanic open up that thing and say it's worn out.

i did ask him why my old brake pad never have such problem, he did explain why... but i dont really understand it.

anyway that thing is ONE of the possible reason why your front brake not working well. either that, if you just change the brake pad, it need time to get season. so tell the mechanic properly wat you feel is actually not right.

hmm.. VVJ!! i wan change to white also! but hor.. illegal right? later TP dun like how? :cheeky:

you wan to change you tell me for wad? his's ug2 and your's ug3. i dont know how to dismantle ug3.

so red polelights r allowed? or TP gif chance?

tp give chance. tp more interested in drink riding, speeding type of offence. lta will be more interested in modification. but that doesnt mean tp cannot catch us for modification!

was thinking of changing my turn signals to LED when i chenged my pilot lights.

iirc, the thingmajig that controls the blinking is dependent on current flow, current flow through some heating element connected to bimetallic strip...blah blah bend blah blah connect/disconnect contacts.

reducing wattage , with voltage = constant => too much current flowing into heating element, cannot discharge and cool fast 'nuff to break the electrical contact, therefore, either damn fast blinking, or "always on".

Gotta install resistor to "eat" some of the current flowing to the signal bulbs so the heating switch will work properly.

hence, i didn't install LED signal lights, too much trouble, lol.

*Disclaimer : pure speculation on my part, but it's something along those lines, too low wattage.

not sure about why both will turn on though, that one, wa em zai alr.

H4 has 2 filaments so one of it (your normal beam) might be broken. so you can only high beam. best is to take out the bulb and check for broken filament.

Anyway super4 are using H4 also. you may feel that their is brighter because you are facing them. they might also feel your headlight look brighter than them. But of course, they might have changed to aftermarket bulb. I am using osram nightbreaker (said to be 10% less yellowish and 90% more brighter). but on the road, i feel no difference compared to my stock one leh...

too bright also not good. wavy headlight is damn bright and that time he behind me... keep on blinding me. potential hazard to other users leh.

anyway (correct me if i am wrong on this) h7 only got 1 filament so you see those sports bike like R1 or R6, they using h7, normal time only open "one eye". When they high beam, the other eyes den will open one.

should be relay liao.. not bimetallic strip.. that is old school bah.. the very audible "tick tock tick tock" when signal light is blinking.. nostalgic hor..
