shouldn't be a problem.. but sure need to put a new bracket. and maybe from the side view, your wiring might expose, make sure get a good mechanic to do it for you, those that know about wiring.. sekali u do, next day the bulb kaput

I bought the bug head flairing from LAB for $33. The wiring for the lights quite simple, 2 for low beam and 2 for high beam. Definitely need new brackets to modify the mounting. Biggest problem is the "V" shape of the new flaring. Big lobang on the side and bottom. Still thinking what to use to cover it up.

Not totally wasted lah. If one fine day you totally use up all the petrol including reserve and there is no petrol kiosk within 10Km radius, you know that you have 2L petrol still in the tank, you will be very grateful.

You can unbolt the tank tilt and turn the tank such that you are able to drain out the petrol into a container, at least it can get you the the nearest petrol station. Some imagination is need here. :D

Might not happen here, but there is a chance if you are up north.

I notice that the power of the bike drop when it's below half tank. Maybe it is due to the position of the draining tube?

The bike also becomes more unstable (without pillion and empty top box) when it's near empty tank. Probably due to the shift in centre of gravity. Not sure if bros here experienced it?

There is a big difference between full tank and near empty tank in terms of weight. If your tire pressure is catered to high load, when you reduce this load, meaning low fuel level and empty box versus full tank and full loaded box, you will feel that the bike becomes very light and easily pushed around by cross winds. This is normal.

The easiest way is to let out 1 to 2 psi of pressure from the tires to increase the contact patch between the tires and the road.

I also notice that there is a drop in bike's power when fuel is low. Not sure why like that. Maybe others can share their views on this issue?

My guess is that our bike's fuel flow to the carb via the action of gravity. When there is low fuel, less force is pushing on the fuel at the lower end of the fuel tube, therefore the air/fuel mixture leans out. When the bike is moving, the fuel is sloshing around in the tank and it worsens the problem.

I have a super4 and noticed that it has a vacumm tube which aids in the suction of fuel into the carb, but I dun see this tube in pulsar.

It's just my guess, hope someone can clarify. :cheeky: :cheeky:

ya i oso have the same feeling...

However i think is the octane in the fuel that's giving this prob.

When i hit 400km++, the bike's power lessens and the engine feeling is rough.

However, i dropped in a pill, the feelings changes to smooth.

Yes our fuel is supplied thru gravity but half tank or less do not affect the flowrate much.

But from what I understand, octane level affect how easy it is for the fuel to ignite, and does not affect to fast or how good it burns. Pulsar is designed to run at less than 90 octane.

Agree with you on octane level. I do not see any difference between 95 to 92.

Yes, but keep petrol in a tank in rain n shine....

does the octane evaporate? This im not sure too.

defi not the flowrate cos it will flow out slower but not to the extend such reaction.

Welcome to the forum.

Your bike is the 180cc UG3 version?

I got a suggestion regarding the box. Hope you dun mind. :cheeky:

If you can find a bracket that mounts your box to just above the tail board, it will help improve the bike's stability when going fast and cornering fast.

Simply means reduce the distance from the tail board to the base plate of the box.

This is the latest Monorack manufactured by Givi specifically for Pulsar. Can be installed on all versions of P180 as well as on P200. UM's price is $70.

This rack is more sturdy than my previous Rhino (VTR) rack which was also manufactured specifically for Pulsar.

Simply means reduce the distance from the tail board to the base plate of the box.

Same thing with my bike which uses the HR4 rack too. I find my base plate is too high. But more of an eyesore lah rather than stability prob. But I think no need to mod the brackets. I think can simply adjust the angles of the brackets that hold the rack to the rear suspension and pillion grab rail to lower the base plate supports.

top up, than transfer to my car hehehe.. 3 trip to fill my car full.. haha

Goof, check with u .....

U told me u drain out all the petrol (without switching to reserve) then u put back 1L into the tank to ride to JB to fill up again.

After putting back 1L into the tank, wat does ur fuel gauge show? Almost 1/2 full? That's wat mine showed.

If that's the case, for UG2, when fuel gauge shows 1/2 full, that means only abt 1.5L of petrol left b4 hitting reserve.

no bro.. i switch it to reserve, so that the tank is 'empty', than when i put back the 1.5litre, the needle show all the way down, not even a bit up. hehe. at first scare scare to ride to JB but now me know can last even i speed at 90km/h.. my place to JB pump station is 23km.
