Dont worry bro, TVS is a very reputed brand in India, I say that because I am from India. They make some really nice and reliable bikes.

 

Earlier TVS used to collaborate with Suzuki and produce bikes in India, just like Bajaj used to collaborate with Kawasaki. But some 10 years ago both these companies had started making bikes independently and their bikes are more popular than both Honda and Suzuki in India.

 

Also TVS is more reliable in Bajaj in India. Bajaj is an inovator and forefront of technology, they introduced twin spark plugs in india and the digital speedo etc. But in terms of long term reliablity I think TVS is ahead.

 

Another thing that works for Bajaj is the Pulsar brand the shape of its tank. For the last 10 years they have ruled the market for this one factor. They have changed most of the looks of the pulsar but the tank remains ever green!

 

So go ahead and buy the Apache, All the best!!!

Hi guys, anyone tried the chex 9000 EO? I just change my EO to the chex 9000 after the uncle recommend me since it is on promotion. My bike feel more responsive and smoother. But think of it, the oil is 10-50 fully syn, is it alright to change from mineral oil straight to fully syn?

just flipped through the manual

the suggested engine oil grade is SAE 20W50

not sure if it is refering to just mineral oil

sorry for the interuption. of the hot debate of the idling RPM. but my RPM oso quite high. lol. anyway, i have asked nice mr gaban to guide me to jb to do some things at the workshop there. anyone care to join please put down ur name in the list. :)

by the way, can get platinum spark plugs at Michael's. The shop on the street parallel to UM. I can't remember how much though

aiyoh spark plug no need DIY session la.. its one of the easiest things to do. instead.. wheres the bah ku teh session!?!!? lol..

Nothing to do with the battery.

 

I had these 1.8K rpm engine warm up problem after every carb cleaning or diaphragm replacement.

 

Solutions

----------

 

1) To reduce the rpm down by 1.5-2k less by adjusting the carb knob.

 

2) To adjust air/fuel ratio, if solution no. 1 fails.

 

I have already reduce mine to 1.2-1.5k but the problem is that my engine sometime will die off then start again will die off again unless rev lightly for awhile..

I used before, not bad i fine.. i brought abt $18.. how much u brought it? this oil able to last 3000km from the shop uncle told me but i change around 2200km..

10w50 r for racing bikes. beter stick to 20w50. check ur manual. i dun hav one or check online.

Hi bro, I changed in AMK for $14 only. The workshop is called keng seng. The EO over there is cheaper as the uncle run the shop himself. But must go to the right shop as there are 2 with the same name. The 1 I went is the red sign board one.

Hi bro, thanks for your advise. Will look around to see is there other brand of 20-50 as I find that the Mobil oil gets rough after about 800km when I am changing gear.

hmmmm..Lucky21, ur mobil eo u used before is mineral or FS?

If mineral i hv no comment but if FS you said got rough sound hmm different perception I think, I changed to Mobil 1 FS after my 2nd servicing since the day I bought my bike and I hv no issue ley...

 

btw talking abt EO, we have dicussed this on last several pages back, Breadman did explained in details what the digit means... hv some time to read what been posted. Anyway here I repost a simpler for your reference which ok for our pulsar engine..
