I went to UM today in the morning, to fix my Engine oil top block leak. As Arthur Chan mentioned they removed the top block and applied glue, changed gasket and fixed it. Cost me 35$. I met another Indian there. He also had same problem. He had a Pulsar 200 and just 6 months old. He told me this is a minor problem and because we ride at high speeds here, due to wear and tear, the glue and gasket change needs to be done about every 10k kms.

 

 

Also the mechanic told me that there is a crack in my exhaust pipe near to the engine, he said it needs to be welded and will cost 22$. He said the power will increase. I said ok. Now I feel the bike is more powerful and sound also is less.

 

I also asked him to do the 6$ servicing but no oil change as my oil was changed 1k kms earlier. He applied oil to the chain and cleaned the air filter. But he did not check the brakes. I told him to take a round and see if the brakes are fine and whether brake pads need to be changed. He went for a round and said they are fine. I somehow feel my back brake is not very effective. But front is ok.

 

After that I headed straight to JB Shell petrol bunk. My bike was still not reserve but I think it was close to reserve. I was able to fill 16.3 Ltrs in it. I am myself shocked if the bike is not reached reserve then reserve itself is 3 ltrs. How did 16+ ltrs more go in?

Roughly how much is it for the insurance for pulsar for p-plate 18 yo?

ic, cos i can cruise around 110-113km/h at rpm 8. however, can only maintain 105-109km/h.

 

same...i reach 100 ah 6.5 rpm..gear ratio 15-37..

i bought my p180 when i was 19 (p-plate) it cost me ard $1100 by msig..

not true that have to change abt 10k km.. after i change 1st time.. roughly last a yrs.. 2nd chnage almost 2 yrs liao.. nothing happen..

hi bro.. welcome to SBT.. u nid to call up individual insurance companies and ask abt the pricing.. cuz prices will go up.. wen i got mine, it was $600++.. and tt is almost 2 yrs back.. now the pricing has reached about 1.1k as others have mentioned here.. so yuo gotta call up and check.. but u r welcomed to meet us sometimes and check out the bikes and stuff.. u can call up universal motors too.. ask for chris.. he'll quote you the $$ OTR.. everything included.. hope my $0.02 helps..
