most of us here are not selling cos we are loving our bikes

$3K then have to go for 2nd hand

unless u take up installment

for a new P200

min insurance is 2nd party

u can try the garage sales section or drop by UM

to see if they have 2nd hand ones for sale

If you search with lots of patience it is possible to get a 2006 P180 with Analog meters for under 2k. Keep searching on this forum's classifieds, garage sales and other online classifieds. Visit a few bike shops as well including UM. Recently one crazy fellow sold his pulsar for 1.3k! Look for people going overseas they will be desperate to fire sale their bike.

Kenshi, I have my stock P200 mirrors that I am not using. Brand new, only used them a couple of months.

They are just sitting at home collecting dust and you seem to be on a tight budget so they are yours for free if you want them as it's really not safe to ride without mirrors.

 

I am going overseas for 2 weeks tomorrow, so if you want them please do sms me to collect them today (anytime in the afternoon or evening is ok). 9161 7501

Hey there, welcome on the forum Are you a girl ? If yes, hope you get a Pulsar and join us from time to time, so I'm not the only girl anymore

The Pulsar would definitely be an excellent choice in terms of saving money and having a great ride to commute to work. It's reliable, very cheap petrol wise and easy to maintain. And obviously our group here is a great support to help you and answer your questions. Your budget is within the price range of Pulsars so you shouldn't have troubles finding a ride, but you should get one of us to come with you to see the bike when you find someone selling.

Something to consider with the Pulsar: if you're aiming at a P200, if you're not too tall you might need to "shave" the seat so your feet can touch the ground comfortably. The P180 are a bit lower so should be fine.

Hmmm my personal experience with Pulsar 200 is that it has slightly less fuel efficiency than 180, with mine averaging from 40-44km/l, while P180 should have better FC. Though 180 technically/theoretically is slightly less powerful...

 

So it's a tradeoff. This is as much as I know, I could be seriously wrong too

I think P180 also 40-45 kmpl under normal riding conditions in SG. If you ride at constant 40 km/hr then you will get lovely FC may be above 50-55 kmpl
