recently keep meeting inconsiderate, crazy & dangerous drivers

for the past 2 weeks keep meeting drivers who purposely move their cars(esp continental cars) to block me from overtaking them in between lanes while there is a jam. they will purposely move their cars to close up the in between gaps between 2 cars so that bikes cannot move through

then this morning got almost got into an accident because of a reckless driver

was sending my gf to work at ttsh and from a distance saw this champagne gold toyota axio was literally wacking the throttle and picking up speed inside the main drop off point of ttsh heading towards the Jln Tan Tock Seng

so i slowed down anticipating the car to just dash out without slowing down

but the driver did slow down slightly

so i started to pick up speed to pass the exit pt

just as i was about to pass the exit opening the driver of the car just hit the throttle again and speed up and out of the exit point(i est his speed is about 50-60km/h when he exited)

lucky i had not speed up much if not i sure to crash into his car

horned him like crazy and he jammed brake

i passed him left side with about 3cm gap between my right mirror from this left side view mirror

had to drop my gf as she is running late for work so i did not stop and scold the driver

also did not notice his plate number

i regretted not stopping to scold the driver

the pic below is a rough idea of my position when the idiot driver decided to just speed up and turn out

Bajaj "Firefly" Pulsar 180 > Dec 2008 - present

I just went and completed the 1st inspection of my bike. I went to Vicom, Kaki Bukit. It was a very simple process. Took just 5 mins. It was quite exciting as I had to ride the bike myself on top of the metal boards. The guy just checked the signal lamps, horn, tyres and brakes. Thats it! :). Cost was 19.8$.

I also renewed my road tax for 6 months. Actually wanted to renew for 1 yr, but my insurance will expire after 6 months. So only 6 month road tax renewal possible.

Has anybody tried royal purple max cycle 20w50 engine oil? It is fully synthetic and costs only $18. It seems to be very popular in the EO discussion thread and also in the Daelim RW thread.

issit true that pulsar has to dismantle the engine block for servicing regularly ??

nope

not true if you take care of your bike with regular service i.e EO change on time and also the regular wear and tear stuff

seen a number of riders who just ride their bike like nobody's business and did not do regular serivcing hence overhual

seen cases of piston jam, gear disintegrated, inside of engine worn out due to friction of parts etc all because of not taking care of their bike

some even rode till EO totally dry up also dunnoe until bike died on the road then tow to UM for overhual

Very easy to maintain 1...... EO 1 bottle, sparks plug 2, regular cleaning of carb can last for more than 2 years for a brand new bike

No need to change spark plug so often. According to the manual Spark plugs should be replaced every 15k kms. Every 5k kms just clean/adjust them.

EO dont go by months. Go strictly by mileage. If you use mineral oil change every 2k-2.5k. If using Semi/Fully synthetic change less often also ok.

use semi syn eo can last longer mileage? or still have to stick to 2-2.5 k km?

semi syn if im not wrong... lol.. its affordable and good for its price... but of cos synthetic is better... old daelim rw member here... hahha

today i wash my bike then i dunno wad wet until cant start... start le awhile cut(2sec)... so i leave it alone then after 20 min i try plugging out the 2 spark plug and dry a little(not wet though) then now can srt and idle but cant go above 2000rpm.. then i let it be for 10min more and then ok le.. back to normal... wad had happen?

if put side fairing then cant put crash bars ? i love the looks of the side fairing.. how much isit? how to get uncle mj?

i have felt a increase in power of my bike... like for the same rpm it went faster... but i dunno if its cos of vpower of the wrap.. haha.. cos i know exhaust wrap creates a low density air inside the pipe so air rushes out faster... by a bit, so hp increase by a slight pinch..

EO for P180 2-2.5k

for me i using full syn but i still keep to every 2-2.5k i will change

for P200 the EO change is slightly longer

think is 3-4k(P200 owners can cfm this?)

spark plug can use very long

in manual is 10k but when 10k u take out and check the head

if it is still good clean off the carbon still can use

carb cleaning no need to do so often also

cleaning your carb is $18 at UM

when you feel that you lack of power/power feel bike not smooth then you can check and wash carb also
