just witnessed a near accident

a cab just beat the read light at a traffic junction near my place

at the point of time a bus was turning right on the left lane of a 2 lane road

the bus jam brake and horned the cab

then the cab driver jammed his brake

saw the passenger at the rear jumped out of his seat

it was green in the favour of the bus for almost 5 sec and can see from the speed of the cab that the cab had no intention of stopping

lucky i was waiting to turn behind the bus and not taken the right turning lane

if not i would be the victim liao

ride and drive safe guys

Hi Guys, I have just moved to AMK(Near Lentor). There is no MSCP near my house. My bike now is getting drenched in the rain :(. The next 2-3 months are the wettest months in SG. I was wondering will there be any damage to the bike if I leave it in the open? Do you guys also leave it in open or cover it with a bike cover. It is pain to maintain the cover. :(

Another worry I have is I hope water wont enter the tank :faint:

Hey you live in AMK?! Me too! I live in the central area(near the mosque).I think there will be minimal damages to the bike lah. But it is not something I would wanna test out.

Yeah just moved last week. My house is near the Esso Petrol bunk on Ave 5 near the Yio Chu Kang road. Still familiarising myself with the area. I like it very much so close to TPE,CTE and SLE, JB is like so near now compared to my earlier house in Tampines. I also need to get familiar with the Bike shops in the AMK industrial area, in case of any emergency stuff for the bike. We should meet up sometime for a coffee.

running in at 90km/h?

i thought suppose to be slower?

btw where you got your t&g?

whats the toll fees like?

we can share more about pulsar during the ride safe event

Yeah 90km/h sounded too much for me too but I didn't ask.

The Touch N Go card is very to get: at the MY customs, go to the very last gate/counter. The booth has an officer in it, you can pay cash the toll and/or buy the card there. Paid 20RM for it, 10 the card and 10 the balance.

The toll fee was 0.50RM going in, I don;t know how much it was when I tapped the card on the way back, didn;t pay attention but I suppose max 1.5RM total.

Nice video Lanzer, am I right to say some of it was shot with the camera on your jacket and some with the camera closer to the handle bar, maybe on the tank ?

haha

it is a brake fluid reservoir

used this cos can see how much oil is left inside and no need to drill extra hole for the outlet

i feel u too lanzer..i myself drive n sumhow noe e reason y dey go into ur lane without signallin or givin way to u. simply because they neva turn their head to check blindspot!!! drivers r over-reliant on their mirrors. hence, wen i ride..i tend nt to get into the blindspot side of cars fearin they might change lane abruptly instead of e gradual changin lane..dat wud be damn scary. wad videocam u use to record ur ride n hw much? i also interested..

from my view i would say that i have become a safer driver after i got my bike licence

i now will check for bikes at my blind spots and look out for bikes that are in between lanes

also when i ride i will look out for cars who are showing signs of reckless driving and try to avoid them and keep out of their blind spots whenever possible

That's the one I got. The battery life is enough for a couple of hours ride which is more than enough to record daily rides.

For longer rides I take my normal camera, a canon ixus, which has spare batteries.

I'll record next week videos with both and upload them for you to compare.

Hah rich?! Far from it.Just ask kira.Hahahaha. I don't stay at lentor area.Amk central area.

I think the mech(Ah Keong From HKL,beside UM) is smart enough to disconnect the batt. That day went to visit d bike still can start without problems.BUT the electrical wiring like got problem. My left and right signals seem to flicker very fast and sometimes does not turn on.(this was a few days aft the accident when I went to check d bike.) When I collect it,I will try to do a thorough inspection of the bike.
