My story ....

 

after reading about the cost of overhauling your ride by our brothers here .. I too concerned about my engine tear and wear. To open up and having the engine overhaul be it minor or major, the price are really super bomb. Alternative, a friend of mine in Indonesia recomends me to try a product to overhaul my ride without opening up the engine. Curious with the product, I google online to know what this product truely is all about ... upon searching and found

Date: 5th Nov Friday.

Speed: 80-100km/h

Location: Mersing and any other places suggested by you folks.

Time: 7am onwards

Meetup at Woodlands Esso by 7am sharp.

Bikes: please take care of ur bike properly b4 the ride.

Gear: safety gear is recommended. No slippers, sandals allowed.

 

For places to go, im open for discussion. Below is just the plan of my route.

 

From Esso, we go in Jb. If we are separated during the customs period, just gather at Jb Shell after clearing customs. After that we will go change money and go eat breakfast .

 

After breakfast, we will ride 50-70km at 80-100km/h and then rest. We will repeat this step until we reach mersing. From there, on time on target. If we got time, we can venture further up to Pahang if everyone is up for it. If not. We slowly make it back to jb and stop by kota tinggi if anyone wants to Spend some time there. It should be around afternoon during that time. By then, we will be riding all the way to tanjung langsat , pasir gudang, for seafood. From there, we can either go straight home or go somewhere else.

Please confirm by 2-3rd of Nov. thank you.

You can take your bike to UMPL, the only distributor of Bajaj bikes in SG, they have a 6$ service package, which includes the usual stuff like oiling the chain, cleaning the air filter, checking brakes etc. EO change will cost 10$ for mineral oil and 26$ for Fully Synthetic.

 

Normally Pulsar not much maintenance required. Engine oil is the most important thing in the bike and if its level goes below the minimum then it will mean OVERHAUL of your bike. So just keep checking your engine oil level every week, especially since you have taken it over from another person and make sure that its level doesnt go down below minimum. Other than that no worries.

 

Oh yes, one more thing, just have a look at the tyres of the bike. If it is stock MRF tyres change it immediatly as they are famous for skidding.

When was the last servicing done?

like what the others said, use mobil 1 Full Syn EO

tested and proven here that it works

milage depends on how you ride your bike

maybe for your 1st bottle of EO change, ride for 2-2.5k then change EO again

after that can ride longer than change your EO

if really gentle rider can change every 3-4k no problem for mobil 1 fs

get from ah boy and bring down to UM

can get cheaper than at UM

your tires are they still stock mrf tires?

if so recommend to change them

if on a tight budget can just change your rear tires for a start

duro is not a too bad brand, can get at UM $65

just came back from sim lim tower

can't find any LED light bright enough to be used as fog/driving spot lights

and the signal led bulbs there don't fit our housing

our bulbs got 2 small sercuring pin to at the side

the bulbs i saw there the angle is different

did not bring down the signal housing only brought down the bulb

next time will bring down the whole housing to try

Get your Mobil1 10W40 Full Synthetic at AhBoy .. You can't see the bottle on their shelf cos he kept the Mobil1 FS inside. Asked him then he will take for you ... $18 !!!! and since you are there, get NGK G Power CR8EGP for $6 .. you need to nego if he said more than $6 per pc ... hehehe :thumb:
