Guys, I'm reading about additional lights and found some interesting articles. This is one of them :

http://www.calsci.com/motorcycleinfo/DrivingLights.html

Gives you an idea of the different options available. I'm still researching what type of lights our bike can handle without putting too much pressurs on the battery.

PS: when is the next DIY Hazard lights?

waiting 4 u to organize.

ps, the more i see ur avatar, the more i want to buy a full face n respray iron man. :D

i posted an article some post back from web bike world on auxillary lights also

they state need to consider the wattage draw from our electrical system as well

thats why i am looking at the vision x LED lights, cheaper than the denali lights and the power draw is quite low and not too taxing on our electrical system...

anyway here is the article again

http://www.webbikeworld.com/lights/motorcycle-driving-lights/

for the lights i think the best position will be mounting it on our crash bar

1 light fog/wide beam the other 1 pencil/spot beam

then you angle your lights

the next hazard session is on 28th

i posted the date some time back

will repost again the details

Is there any free parking near North Point mall in Yishun? I noticed that everybody just park outside the mall on the pavement inspite of a clear sign there that indicates "bikes not allowed". I have parked there couple of times but everytime I am s-h-i-t scared that I will get a parking summon. Any suggestions for alternatives nearby?

It's not just about being dangerous for other road users, it's also to avoid people turning their bikes and cars into disco balls or Christmas trees. Specially car user, some tuning folks can really go nuts on the LEDs...

Chain Oiler DIY Session

anymore people interested?

indicate your name below

below are some things need to get and some things need to consider before start to DIY

Date: 28/11/2010(Sunday)

Time: 3pm (the stuff have to get before sun day cause the shops not open on sunday)

Place:Carpark opp Ah Boy

Chain Oiler

1)fircyber

2)Lanzer

3)husher

4)arthur

5)

Points to consider:

1) need to determine your exact location for your oiler container

2) what type of container do you want to use? (best is those already with an outlet like brake fluid reservoir or medical syringe,if syringe then need a cover for the top to prevent dust from going in and the fluid from spilling out, bottle cap should do the trick, if no outlet need to drill hole then need extra valve/connector)

3) your chain guard is open or close? (closed chain gaurd need to plan more precise how you going to route your tubing cause need to determine how long tubing need to get)

Things needed:

1) tubing (recommend to get the 4mm one from the valve shop near ah boy, flow rate just nice, 1m should be enough, you can get more to play safe)

2) control valve (get the metal one from the valve shop behind ah boy,$12.50)

3) container (recommend to use brake fluid reservoir, can get from ah boy small one or get a used old one

4) cable tie (need long and the super small ones

5) pliers

6) scissors

7) silicon sealant

8) flexible metal bracket (optional, depend on where you want to mount your container, you have to decide before hand, some places can just use cable tie)

9) bolts/screws & nut (optional, only if you use the metal bracket then you need this)

10) metal handicraft wire/electrical black & red wire (if using the 4mm tubing the wire dia 1.5mm just nice, can get from diaso those handicraft wire)

the pics below show the flexible metal bracket i am talking about and the valve

and tubing can get at Teck Siong Huat Hardware

opp the shop selling bolts and nuts under the hdb flats, behind the coffeeshop opp ah boy

ya, got 1 guy(forgot his name) his like mine, either he can do the wires ur way or take out the head n tap from there. got 2 ways to do, but in either way, no need to buy the relay, cos his relay is outside, not like ug3 fused into cdi.

however got problem if signal there's no light on the panel. but i manage to solve the problem by tapping additional leds, now my signaling got left n right, like car 1.

btw, the switch can get 3 pin also. (min 3pin, max up to ur liking)

Accident can happen anytime, anywhere.

However ask yourself, do you want to fall at 120km/h or 60km/h?

yah 3 pin also can

but need to tap the 2 wires from the relay into the 1 pin at the switch lor

then split from the 2 other pins to the individual signal lights

but then there's no way to stablize the tip. unless i destroy the cap by poking a hole thru.
