Thanks for sharing :thumb:

The clover stuff is pretty cool. I wanted a clover jacket at first, really loved the fit and cut and all that. Very cool. A bit on the expensive side so I went with Taichi. Now that I need pants I will have a look at Clover again. Where did you buy them? Chiap Lee ?

'Problem with pants for me is to find my size in length ! They already are missing a few centimeters when I'm trying them on standing, so imagine when seated on the bike,,will go up to my knee :cheeky:

TRIP TO MEET AND RIDE WITH PULSAR RIDERS IN INDONESIA - FEBRUARY 2011

Anyone interested in going to Indonesia to meet the Pulsar riders ?

The plan is to use Chinese New Year holidays, add some time off work, and spend one week with the friendly Pulksar riders there.

We would fly there and rent a bike when we get there to visit places.

No itinerary yet, all we know is we want to leave Fri 28th evening flight to Jakarta and come back on Saturday 5th Feb end of day.

I know those who need to be here for CNY with their family might not be able to join, but think about it !

So far we, SG Gaban and myself are interested, and the plane tickets are at $104 for 2 way trip. My pillionette if she has her 2B by then would also join so so far 3 riders from SG :cheer:

I'm in if this is still on!

@NoFishesAllowed: No, it's not, you really get used to it quickly ! I have a Pacsafe bag that I lock to the bike. So when I park, hop, take out the jacket, gloves, guards and dump in the bag with helmet on top. Lock it and go ! If I'm leaving the bike for just a few minutes I keep the gear on me.

@manikschumi : It's still on, that's great if you join !

@All : guys, any reason why our bike isn't full DC by default? I've been reading a lot about our bike's electricity and I found out that many riders have turned their bike's system into FULL DC> Allowing them to draw more power, run HID lights etc.. It needs a bit of DIY/Electrical knowledge but doesn't look impossible to do. Anyway, I wonder why the bike isn't wired like that to start with? Because these guys have been running full DC for years with no damage to the wires, or other parts.. So is our bike AC/DC just out of precaution ? What's the real reason behind this? (Right now I wish Lindave was around...:cheeky:) EDIT : It just hit me that the P200 might already be full DC.... :faint: In that case I'm confused on why higher watt bulbs are not recommended..

Yes @ chiap lee... U go to the serangoon side near Bike Production one try.

TO wear it and remove it with ease...

Wear tights inside when u go touring...

Slides in and out easily.

thats how my group wears our waterproof pants.

In SG waterproof pants is a must when touring. bottom hot ok... Top hot dehydrate too fast.... very dangerous

Went into JB around 11am today. Perfect weather! Filled 17.17 ltrs of RON95 upto the brim. Went to Ah Gua lane but most shops were closed at that time or may be due to the festival. I asked a couple of shops that were open about the rear sprocket. They didn't even want to try. Just refused straight away stating that they dont have sprocket for Bajaj. I tried locating Ah Boy and Hou Heng but couldn't. Can somebody tell me where exactly are these shops? After the Esso bunk or before?

@[MENTION=47329]All : guys' date=' any reason why our bike isn't full DC by default? I've been reading a lot about our bike's electricity and I found out that many riders have turned their bike's system into FULL DC> Allowing them to draw more power, run HID lights etc.. It needs a bit of DIY/Electrical knowledge but doesn't look impossible to do. Anyway, I wonder why the bike isn't wired like that to start with? (Right now I wish Lindave was around...:cheeky:) [b']EDIT : It just hit me that the P200 might already be full DC....[/b] :faint: In that case I'm confused on why higher watt bulbs are not recommended..

the reason is that our headlight wiring harness is design to take 35W/35W bulbs

if you were to put higher wattage bulbs in the extra load will put stress on the wiring harness which will have a chance of melting the wiring harness

also because higher wattage bulbs the heat generated will melt our reflector

our reflector is not able to take the heat generated by the higher wattage bulbs

for HID wise, HID needs a full DC system

even with a 34W ballast, the power draw is too much for our rectifier to take

like what lanzer/pet said last sat

nememsis's voltage is constantly dropping when he turned on HID even when he is riding

for HID to work, you need to modify the electrical system

i think the best way to concentrate our headlight beam is like what we said to add a projector lens in our headlight cowling

Of late I have noticed a strange chuff chuff sound from my bike. This happens only when I am closing the throttle and doing engine braking. Normally it happens after I have some about some distance. Any idea what is the cause? I ride at very high RPMs continuously(~8k RPM) could that be the cause?

i think we discussed about the sprocs quite some time back

if nv remember wrongly pulsar hub hard to fit aftermarket sprocs(anyone can double confirm this?)

best is to head back to UM to change the sprocs
