Hi alvin,

Yeah well it will be mostly for daily transportation of myself from home to work and back home unless there is special occasion. Im thinking of getting 1st hand if its not too ex for the installment, including insurance and COE.. if it is then maybe a 2nd hand will do.. If possible, installment over a few years. Im 22 right now this year.

thanks for helping me =D

in addition to advise on top, best u can state what's ur budget. u looking 4 p180 or p200? p200 not much 2hd. insurance 4 2nd party, should be less than 1k. always plan more and have spare change to prepare for those 'ops' than not enough. u can always call up respective insur company to check or just pop down universal motor and as k 4 quote. getting from shop more reliable, but getting from pte seller will be cheaper, but suggest bring along a pro to judge the condition of the bike.

Accident can happen anytime, anywhere.

However ask yourself, do you want to fall at 120km/h or 60km/h?

Atipo > let me know where you wanna do and when? I want to see how it was done .. can? my number at my signature ... msg me ok?

greatmole > good bike you got there from Tarwin ... I believed he maintained his bike well by looking at the pics he posted. Nevertheless, yes go to UM to have that bike check thoroughly ... go and see mechanic ah teck if you can .. tell him we at sbt recomend you to him but if he is busy .. you can go for the other 3 regular mechanics ... remember these mechanic names ah long, ah wai and jacky ... if chris sent other than these mechs .. tell him you will wait your turn for the 4 names mentioned.

esse > if you have the budget .. yes go for P200! oh yes it is a good bike .. not perfect but sure is good. Maintanance wise just keep track on the manual service chart .. the bike will give you wonders for your daily ride. This bike is not a runner but it does not mean it has no power or torque... yes spare parts a bit of expensive but I've no regret since day 1 I used this bike. This bike serve me well. Just becareful with the stock mrf tyre and since you are a new rider ... change the tyre and have a crash guard installed.

Cheers to all of you and welcome to SBT!!

Merry Christmas Dejaxx...

for the differences in the versions from UG1-3 please read the 1st page of this thread

some main easy to spot ones are

UG 1: analoge speedo,metal spoke rims,silver engine block,non led tail light,orange signal light cover,non DTS-i Engine,chrome exhaust cover,no auto signal cancelling,non gas shock absorbers,electric & kick start,non split seats,covered chain guard

UG 2: analoge speedo,alloy rims,black engine block,non led tail light,orange signal light cover,chrome exhaust cover,no auto signal cancelling,nitrox shock absorbers,electric & kick start,non split seats,covered chain guard(some changed to the P200 open chain guard)

UG 3: digital speedo, alloy rims, black engine block, led tail lights, clear signal light cover with amber bulbs(some UG3 still have the orange signal light cover),chrome exhaust cover(matt silver for some UG3),auto signal cancelling, nitrox shock absorbers, electric & kick start, non split seats, covered chain guard(some changed to the P200 chain guard)

UG 4: main difference from all the other 180 versions is the handle bar is clip on,electric start only,no kick start, split seats, scoops at both sides at front of tank, open chain guard

if the bike has no been riden for some time some main things need to be checked 1st

here are some basic things

external condition of the bike

any leakage at any area

servicing history

any accidents

if possible ride around on the bike and listen to the sound of the engine when throttling etc

see any werid sounds or any unusual signs or symptoms

maybe can take a pic of the bike to post here

hope these info helps :)

Haha, How can he compare CBF 150 which neither has the looks, FC nor the power with a Pulsar. He is just jealous. I believe he was trying to sell his bike and nobody bought it. Honda CBF doesnt stand any chance with either Pulsar or FZ150i. Honda CBF at best fits in the cheapo category of Spark or Wave. Honda Tiger and Honda CBR 150 may be he can compare with our pulsar. Poor fellow pity him!

Yeah. And just compare the performance. CBF 150 produces a power of 8.8 KW(11.8 BHP)

http://www.motorbike.com.sg/CBF150.html

Thats pathetic!

P200 produces 18 BHP.

P180 produces 16.96 BHP

Even P135 produces 13.35 BHP.

If there was a pulsar 100 probably that would also be faster than the CBF 150:cheeky:

Well said Altya, very proud of one of our youngest matured thinking riders. Stay away from the pulsar, the bike is better looking only than the CBF. As for the rest, ITS A LEMON. The bike is prone to leaks and after some time, the gears will give problems and the bike will need to be overhauled. As Altya said, the parts are very very expensive compared to the CBF. Trust me, I had surveyed and after 3 yrs with the bike, I will have no other 2B bike than the CBF. It saved me alot of $$.

MAke the sensible choice, choose the CBF over the Spark, Pulsar and FZ150i. There will be initial hiccups but once you have sorted it out. There will be no issues. Try to keep the bike stock if you want to enjoy trouble free riding, except for the tires, after the running in period try to change to a better ones.

Haha he never ride pulsar before and he gave this kind of negative comments. He trying to sell his CBF 150 but cannot find buyer.
