in addition to advise on top, best u can state what's ur budget. u looking 4 p180 or p200? p200 not much 2hd. insurance 4 2nd party, should be less than 1k. always plan more and have spare change to prepare for those 'ops' than not enough. u can always call up respective insur company to check or just pop down universal motor and as k 4 quote. getting from shop more reliable, but getting from pte seller will be cheaper, but suggest bring along a pro to judge the condition of the bike.

 

a 1st hand P200 is about 6.4K everything in except insurance

last i heard when i was at UM for servicing last week

so everything in will be 7K+

but with the recent drop in COE price might drop a little

if buy on installment have to take min 2nd party

for your age AXA should be the cheapest...

 

if u intend to upgrade ur class( from 2b to 2a to 2), mebbe its best u juz get a 2nd hand..afterall..sure u itchy wana upgrade. pulsar is definitely reliable and fuel consumption is marvelous. if tis bike is gona be ur transport bike like forever,den best u buy it 1st hand..coz 2nd hand u may never noe of any hiccups till u ride it

hi all. i just recently passed my TP 2 days ago and am now looking for probable 2B bikes and a pulsar is one of my shortlisted choices.

 

just wanna ask if there's any things that i should take note of when getting a 2nd hand pulsar or which generation would be better/pricier than other generations?

 

as you can see im completely a noob at this and would appreciate if you guys share anything relevant that i would need to know when looking out for a pulsar!

some basic things to take note when looking at 2nd hand bikes are

 

external condition of the bike

any leakage at any area

servicing history

any accidents

if possible ride around on the bike and listen to the sound of the engine when throttling etc

see any werid sounds or any unusual signs or symptoms

 

there is no better or not is depends on your preference and how the previous owner take care of the bike

price wise the the newer the version the price will be slightly more ex also depends on condition of bike and other factors like if the bike has been involved in a accident before or previous owner whack the bike until engine got problem and want to let go fast so sell cheap etc

also what is your budget like?

my budget wld probably be around 2-3k as i intend to spend maximum maybe 3k+ in total including my insurance (im 22 years old) and all the other misc. costs.
