Hi guys,

just saw the aftermath of a fatal accident along aljunied road, at the junction of windsor hotel.

 

from the ruins, its seems like an accident between a pickup and a bike. there's a body lying there, covered up, so i suppose it was the rider.

 

ride safely guys, there r loved ones at home waiting daily for your return.

 

gotta ask Jesus daily for His divine protection, covered by His precious blood

With reference to The Straits Times report dated July 22, 2009 on the Home page B4 about an elder of Lighthouse Evangelism being convicted in court. We wish to clarify that the report was inaccurate.

 

The person concerned was never an elder of Lighthouse Evangelism. We have contacted the Straits Times to rectify the error.

The word Trinity does not appear in the Holy Bible. However, the concept of Trinity or the Triune-Godhead simply means that God is made of 3 distinct entity, and that is The Father, The Son and The Holy Spirit.

 

In John 10:30, Jesus said "I and My Father are one."

 

and in the Gospels, typically in John 14:26 Jesus spoke of the Holy Spirit "But the Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in My name, He will teach you all things, and bring to your remembrance all things that I said to you."

Yesterday, District Judge Jeffrey Sim ruled that Sim, an elder at the Lighthouse Evangelism church, did not deliberately exploit a minor. 'He was misled by both the pimp and the minor into believing that the minor was 18 or above 18 years old,' the judge said.

We learned from him that he was an ex-elder of his former church. We have and are still providing counseling to him and his family to help restore him back to faith. He has repented and is sorry for what he has done.

SENTENCED: Rodney Sim was jailed two weeks and fined $16,000. ST FILE PICTURE

 

Rodney Sim Hang Nge, 61, an accountant, was also a church leader who visited church members at their homes to find out their problems and help them.

 

But the married father of two had a dark secret - he had been visiting prostitutes for the last two to three years.

 

It came to light after he was arrested last year for having sex with an underage prostitute.

 

Yesterday, he was jailed two weeks and fined $16,000 for having sex with the girl twice, on 3 Aug and 5 Aug last year. The girl, a Chinese national, was only 16 then.

 

Sim was described as a 'faithful attendee', 'honest', 'dependable' and 'caring' by his church pastor, according to court documents.

 

The pastor also said he had a 'genuine love for the underprivileged and needy'.

 

But he revealed his double life to psychiatrist Tommy Tan during two psychiatric assessments last year.

 

He told Dr Tan that he had a normal sex life with his wife.

 

But he started visiting Joo Chiat and Geylang about two or three years ago.
