aisey.. ResmeN' date=' you can speak singlish sia... woots..

actually, ResmeN, have you ever tried of fixing the OEM mainstand with yr shorty on?

I mean, to try affix with both on.

Of cos, I saying without the knowledge of how the shorty's construction on(or rather below) a Revo.

But if maybe if there's pictures(frm you, or anyone out here riding a Revo with a Shorty), I can help see if its possible yah.. :thumb:

Hahaha mate lol what can I say, I surprised myself after I wrote it too but seeing you guys write like that all the time I have kind of figured out a few words meaning here and there :p

Ok, as yet I haven't tried fixing the OEM mainstand with shorty on. With the OEM exhaust I could easily mount the kerbs/gutters we have here and the bottom of the headers wouldn't scrape but as you too have found out after putting the black shorty on after trying to mount the same kerbs/gutters the bottom of the exhaust would scrape so I have stopped trying to mount anywhere higher than 10-15cm. Even when coming down steep driveways or steep speed humps it scrapes so you have to do it on an angle and at a slow pace.

I'll take some pics of the exhaust and side stand area for you to get a better idea on whether you think the OEM main stand could be fitted.

Hi Kev,

i agree main stand is very useful. currently im using ss shorty (legal) @ spec2 , cause the design very low, its not possible to install main stand. if anyone manage to install it, pls kindly share the knwldge, cause i want to have it also :D

I agree with you I'll post some pics of my revo with black shorty and hopefully Kev's can give us an idea if OEM mainstand can be fitted.

ok, here it is:

very early concept:

http://i37.photobucket.com/albums/e100/DKiev/Honda%20CB400%20Super%20Four/P3050003JPGnonumside2.jpg?t=1301467875

the more recent picture:

http://farm5.static.flickr.com/4119/4770859018_5fc1ee5d14_z.jpg

p.s. kindly ignore the wordings and the torn exhaust wrap, the wrap has long been removed.

& no. the exhaust does not or are not in the way of the mainstand when in use or kept up.

oya, spec 2, 3 & Revo are using the same mainstand.

only PB1 are different & the driving centre's "L" model S4s are using PB1's too.

Looks good there Kev's. If a mainstand could be fitted on my revo I would get one as I don't have a bike lifter at present and am about to purchase one so if OEM mainstand can fit I would much prefer that than the swingarm ifter

er, cant seem to find the thread for the mainstand.

Bro could you please advise the product code for the OEM mainstand for revo.

v confuse lei.. so can spec 2 with aftermarket main stand fix SS shorty?

I think by reading some of the recent posts made by Kev's it appears maybe mainstand can be fit on spec 2 with ss shorty.

lol...

okok, what I mean & ResmeN has deciphered is, YES, it(the mainstand) can fit together with the shorty on a spec 2. :thumb:

well, good day mate!

aisey, picking up the local slangs eh? http://main.slackriders.com/images/smiles/icon_mrgreen.gif

ok, i need clear pictures of the underneath where the brackets for the mainstand hinge are, directional of how the mid-pipe towards the 45° bend to end.

As for the product code, I dump the box after I install, only left the manual instructions, hv to go back & see if there's any..

Its consider an accessories to this bike instead of OEM standard fittings.

And Im nt sure if you can find it to purchase online as I was last told by sillypore's local official distributor that Honda Japan doesnt sell this stand to overseas market, only to Jpn Domestic Market..

beats me y they dont support thou.. since this is a popular bike..http://www.advrider.com/forums/images/smilies/headscratch.gif

The local shop, FJT, where I got the stand, told me that they source it frm Taiwan?

its authentic thou, with the Honda OEM sticker & box & instructions manual.

I'm sure Singapore has it's own plusses and minuses too. The only think I can say in common between SG-AU is that they are both islands. But luckily you have bridges to access MY and other countries around. I've been busy doing 2 jobs lately and haven't ridden as much as I would have liked so we are looking at doing a weekend 1500km ride with a few friends next in the next few weeks.

I'm lucky because I live in the south-east corner of Australia and I have beautiful roads in pretty much all directions around me.

I know what you mean that it's harder to tour in SG but as you said the tour junkies can always look further up north.

I'm sure if you ever come you will love Australia as there are plenty of Malay/Indo/Singaporeans etc around so you can still eat food you are used to . If you come to Melbourne I can show you my revo :)

Hehe you could say that. Sometimes I get in the mood and just ride ridiculous amounts in a day. Agree definitely prefer riding/touring over clubbing and pubbing (not that I drink anyway).

You know how it is not everyone can eat everything on their travels or they get sick so it's good knowing the destination serves up local food you are used to.

Hopefully bro all the best :)

I saw in one of your pics the bottom section of your mori was heat wrapped but you mentioned you took it off. Why?

I only ask because around the header area there is a slight discoloration of the pipes and I'm thinking about putting some black heat wrap around that area of the exhaust.

I took it off because the wrap's made of fibreglass, due time, as this is not a fairing bike, the material deteriorated.

It tears when I got it scratched by those high humps & opens up.

As our weather here is high in humidity, the wrap will also trap water(other than heat), so it'll accelerate the deterioration process.

As the headers been exposed for sometime now, gota find time to de-contaminate the surface & coat it. That's my suggestion instead of wrapping it.

Do anybody know what sort of air filter the bike has in below video? I have the same exhaust system and like the way below bike sounds on idle.

Thanks for the details Kev bro. Yeah mine is an efi model so the mikuni is a no go. Currently I have a k&n filter on there and it sounds nothing like the bike on the video. Fazli had mentioned piper cross air filter made nice noise.

What air filter or mods would you suggest to get the bike sounding more like on the video?
