hi, need some help ,over the years the colours of my xr 4 is fading of .... i mean the original red&white plasic... any ways of reviving the colours ?

I would like to expand my knowledge on this too.

 

Currently, i plan to change the colors of my XR125 (plastics too). Well like what the guys told me in the XR125 thread, they said go get stickers and stick up the whole plastic otherwise, just go and spray-paint it loh~

 

If you plan to spray-paint it, i suggest don't DIY cos you need to heat up the plastics (not so hot when i mean heat up) so that when the spray-paint sets in on the slightly heated up plastics, it'll sink into the plastic when it cools down. But then again, it is plastic so and again like what the guys told me in the XR125 thread, they said after sometime, it'll still crack due to the weather and vibration from the bike.

 

So yup! Anyway i plan to sticker up my whole bike! : )

well any way of polishing the colour lively back again?

Hmm... its still plastic though. Is it just like plainly dirty or what? For me, i just used household cleaning agent(s) to wash away the dirt that's all.

i use rock oil silicone spray to protect my plastics after wash...

 

why don't you try to swap out the plastics (red/white) with some Acerbis stock one? XR4 has been around... and I am pretty sure you can source them out easily
