yesterday i wan to go n take a look. NO SIGNS were put up... so i happily go towards the barrier, the display ask me to insert card to reader, so i went into the carpark.. den i went up 2 floors, n found no lots, so i parked at a safe area with no obstruction..

after walking the plaza for 5 mins, i walked back.. one security guard was there, asked me.

 

guard: " is that ur bike?"

 

me : "yes, y ah? sorry i didnt park in a bike lot coz there were no lots"

 

guard : "didnt u know bikes cant enter the carpark? u want u can park outside at the hdb areas. its ok, we taken down ur plate no. next time u come in we clamp"

 

me : " huh? u guys neva put sign how we know here cannot park. Nvm, sorry for the trouble"

 

senior guard walks over n waved me the sign to move off

den upon reaching barrier, the system dun allow me to slot cash card n keeps reading my IU.

at this time, 2 cars queued up behind me. senior guard waved me to clear road for the CARS..

me : use cashcard slot in reader lo.

 

senior guard : cannot be, the system dun allow bikes in.

 

me : HOW THE HELL DO I KNOW THAT??

 

after the 2 cars cleared, he prompted me to move towards barrier when i wan to try walking towards it so the system wun read my IU.

so i move towards n the system keeps reading n reading.

den he gave up n open the barrier for me to move off...

wat a unhappy evening i got ytd...

 

sorry for the long story but juz needed sumwhere to vent it off..

Another "west mall"

 

why can't these malls be like bukit panjang plaza? if afraid that free parking will cause bikes from nearby HDB to park for free everyday, then impose a "clamp-after-midnight" rule like bukit panjang plaza la....... or if not... at least like jurong point; still let us go in at a fee.

the Basement of Police Cantonment is for the staffs who are working there to park, then the open carpark is for PHQ or other govenment statutories board (have to show pass and seek security clearance)

Hi people.. first of all i want to say thanks so much for the guide!! Anyway my question is that Singapore Post at Paya Lebar has free parking is it? I saw it in the list under "Free" and i just want to re-confirm.. Cos i need to start work there soon and i've been asking ard my friends where i can park (previously i park on pavement behind SingPost near the workshops) and they told me don't have, must park at the carpark near workshops there... Anyone has any idea for sure????
