hi to all, ridding without the rack and box on the tmax is really shiok..

well anyway, i have lowered my front fork 1cm lower from hong leong..

hoping it will swift the weight distribution slightly more forward.. any comments about this ?

would like to lower more this time.. maybe another 2cm.. just afraid it may hit the mudguard..

dun know which shop is good at this.. also wana install the digital voltmeter.. any recommendation..

hi Cheeko, any changes on your tmax?

Instead of lowering the front, you may wanna try raising the rear.

no nid hearsay,i cfm w u only 3

i`m 1 of the ex owner..1st blackmax owner in sg,not how lian la..but no many appreciate the Tmax...i regret selling la,bt tt pt in time thot can give up riding..but its in the blood alrdy...erm,1 more thing ppl tend to forget when comparing nexus n tmax...ttz storage, tmax can easily store a full face.my shoei x-11 kagayama tc-1 easily goin still can put RS Taichi raincoat set + some junk...haha...but definately not 2 helms...wheels the new 06 tmax also bigger,so definately more stable.i`ll say the tmax is the best choice for sport touring..not just say w/o grounds.but thru exp.i`ve ridden it n i`ve regretted...not regretted riding/owning it.Its regret selling it...gd luck in ya hunt, nexus always beat tmax on scooter races but then 1 thing. They dun finish.Always break down b4 getting the checkered flag.So if u want all rounder w reliability,go for the twin.no stress when topping 180km/hr.i dun mean u stress...i mean engine no stress...lol...its relatively very sound n stable when doing anything.n i mean anything.like corners, pick up,long stretches blah blah...need more info can ask cheeko, ong bak or me if i can provide.

Cheeko->bro,y u nv take pic of my current bike..lol...mv augusta u take...u bias ar...ride tmax yaya like papaya ar~~~

Hi from KL.

Very happy to know there is a place for Tmax riders asa it is pretty lonely here, with only about 20+ sold since 2002.

I bought my Tmax in Feb 2002 and have ridden it for about 40,000km already. My Tmax is fitted with an Arrow exhaust system and have served me well with no problems. Battery was changed about 6 months ago after 4 years in use. The speedometer sensor at the front wheel failed me twice and is pretty expensive to replace.

The scooter is fairly fast and i initially used it to go Sportsbike hunting up the hills of Awana and Genting. Great fun playing with Ducati 999s and the Japanese sportsbikes every sunday. There is a very active sportsbiking fraternity numbering about 100 bikes and we usually ply the twisties every weekend.

The Tmax is fairly slow on the straights, although I've heard rumours of the some riders touching 180, I only saw 165 as the fastest speed on mine when going downhill. The Max handles well but the stands touch down too easily and I ground my stand all the time.

I took of the mainstand but ended up grounding the bottom fairing and had a few slides so I put back the stands to remind me of the lean angle.

The single disc is adequate for normal riding but it failed me once when i was playing with an R1 and a Honda SP2 running downhill from Genting Highlands to Karak Highway. The lever came right to the bars and I was lucky enough not to slam into the armco. It was one of the most scary moments I've ever had in 30 years of riding.

I regularly shoot on-board video of my rides with my friends as the Tmax makes a good video shoot platform.

I fitted a roof on the bike and have been very happy with the results. Great comfort on hot days and dry on rainy rides. Never feel too cold when riding in the highlands.

But I cannot go as fast as I want to now and limit my highway cruise speed to below 145 - 150.

My mod list are as follows;

Arrow Exhaust System

Modified Counterweights fitted

On board Camera rig ( Rear Looking.)

Modified seat ( Ori seat too high and no seatback. )

Diamond Red Color

Doken Roof.

Here's my TMax

http://i89.photobucket.com/albums/k229/nikhuzlan/grandchild.jpg

My Tmax In Action

http://i89.photobucket.com/albums/k229/nikhuzlan/roofmax2.jpg

My Tmax in New Paint Scheme

http://i89.photobucket.com/albums/k229/nikhuzlan/maxred.jpg

On comparisons with the Nexus or the X9, both the Italian machines are good machines, with the Nexus being slightly better, but neither can hold on to the Tmax when the roads get curvy. And for that matter, the Silverwing and the 650 Burgervan is also less capable in the twisties.

Drop me a line if anyone is coming up KL and we can go up Awana together on the weekends.

Best regards

Nik

That's cool swing7777. Guess the EFI version is much more powerful. Mine is the First model, carbs and single front disc, with no parking brake nor ABS.

Coming up anytime?

Saw on your posts you've also got a Copen. Cool car. Seen onlt two units here in Petaling Jaya. Drive that up to KL and we can go for a drive with my Smartcarsmalaysia.com members up Genting and play with the supercars on the downhill sections from Genting. Reeeeeeal FUN.

My Other Rides, BMW Boxercup Replica.

Supercars for the picking on the same road. Fun playing with them with bikes. Scooters and Smarts. Some are real fast though. And don't dream on Karak. I've seen a few taking sweepers at 240km/h

Soon to Come; On board video of from the Tmax playing with Superbikes at awana. One Superbike crashed into the drain trying to throw the Tmax off.....

Coming Soon.....

BTW, thanks for the welcome cheeko.
