hello guys! i didn't know that fz150i is really discussed at this lenght (cheerio to u guys).

i just bumped this website like an hour ago and it really got me hooked.

anyways fz150i is quite a handy bike.been riding it for like close to 3 months. (:

still a noob about stuffs and all.i wanna mod it as soon as i can.a lot of people have been telling me its like a fusion of pulsar and ducatti. -.- like wt@!ahaha

Hey Frens, after going through this forum, decided to buy the bike. Till today NO REGRETS. But jus something need to share. Pls change the tyres, as the originals are "not fit" or not road worthy. I almost "skidded" jus after a lorry passed me. I was travelling at 80km and he might be doing 100km. Very dangerous. I replaced the tyres to Bridgestone Battlax BT39 (biggest 110/17). Bike performance changed drasctically. I mean it bros. Max i hit 130km, no vibrations. Smooth Rider....

yeah... thrice I skidded and out of that 3 times, i "buang' once. Hmph!

 

Anyways, how much in total did u spend to get a change of tyres?

been a while since i 'checked in'... As mentioned before the STOCK tires really really needs to be changed... ive skidded and fishtailed before thats why ive changed mine only 3 months in... anyone have any problems other than the RPM one that is highlighted... i find my bike starting to get shaky... i think its the suspension... how to know arh ?

was interested to do this too... our neighbours across told me that we can use 125z rear disc brake but i went to the mechs in jb but sadly so far no response... so waiting to see if anyone got lucky...

I've also heard of our neighbours mod the air filter, fixing the open type. Shopping for this bike in JB has alot to offer. Update: A friend from JB told me, changin the rear to disc break is not a good idea, as since the bike is light, high possibility of wheel lock and skidding. Pls check properly guys... Safety First

Thanks for the tip off bro! Anyway what mods are available in JB/Spore? The mechs that i frequent to seems to not offer much for me to mod... they are claiming its Fuel-Injected therefore they dont want to(as in not recommended) or dont know how to mod YET.

 

Actually im not really interested in "top speed and other performance type enhancement". Im into more of aesthethic. Sorry but i always feel its not worth to spent too much on performance for a 2B bike unless yours is a high end type... (aprilia, cagiva etc.).

i totally agree with hafiz..i am more on the looks of the bike rather than the speed but performance plays a huge part too.imagine rocking or shaking wildly when u're going at even 130-140.so yeah.

do take a look at our overseas counterpart mods... the ones in indonesia are the ones that really made me drool... FZ150i became an R1 look-alike...

 

anyway the other popular mods are...

 

wind screen visor

bellypan

side box (touring look)

exhaust (maybe for more efficiency)

bigger tyres (this is more for safety i go for 80/80 - Front and 100/80 - Rear)

rear wheel hugger

mirror (i find it a bit small good enough)

handle bar

lower the fork

headlight

 

errrr... guess dats about it so far...

 

anyway our Malaysian Fz150i counterparts are coming to town in JUNE lets welcome them and be their guide during their visit here... anyone on with this ???? I was thinking of meeting them up in Johor and bring them here...

haha. yeah i heard there are not really much mod for this bike. so like do we order those mentioned accessories and items from indonesia or our local stores have them already?

Hi all. I just got my FZ150i about a month ago and i'm loving it. =) Is there anybody with experiences of changing the stock sprocket to a smaller one? Cause i thought of doing so.

changed the sprokets once but not to a smaller one. that too, the sproket have to order from malaysia cause no stock in sg(did it @ planet). the sprocket that the bike use is diff(6 screws) from other commonly found like rxz(5 screws) i think.

 

btw, y would u want to change for smaller sprokets?? have you performance mod the others eg exhaust, air filter, tyres, suspension etc.

till now i have not much replies on the available mods out there for the fz150i.anyways read from some older posts about the Bridgestone Battlax BT39.was wondering how much it costs to change and what is the biggest size we can get to fix into our bikes.totally have to agree that the bike tend to sway when riding against strong winds or passing by large vehicles.geez.maybe bigger tyres will really help.

hey funkmeister..yes its true that the bike skids often with its stock tires.thats why its a must to actually change em.anyways i think its not just this bike facing the same problem.i guess most stock tires are like that cause my friends riding other variety of bikes are having the same problem.

by biggest are you reffering to the rim size or thickness?

 

coz biggest ive read was 80/120 for the rear... not too big or consumption might be affected...

 

another reason the bike tends to wobble is coz the seat is kinda high and its only about 120 kg... very light for a bike...

to mohamadhafiz..oh well yes the bike is damn light i know.hmmm.maybe we can do something about it. oh well i am refering to the size of the tyre and not the rim.if i have enough money and the space permits,might as well get a new set of fatter rims.hahaha.
