oh well i have been reading blogs and forums for a while now and i still can't manage to find anyone or any sites recommending shops to modify this bike or parts that can go along with it.every single time i look at some pic from oversees namely malaysia and indonesia,i get so jealous. take a look at this pic.

Dont be too sad bro... it is a 'naked' bike after all... the rear hugger you can get at bike shops... i have it on mine... i dont know what rear hugger im using but its the same as my friend's KR.

 

As for the belly pan im also considering as well may look nice with one but so far no luck yet in singapore shops... may need to try harder...

 

i dont know why your bike seem to wobble i definitely recommend you to re take a look... btw did u just change tubes or did u change the tyres?

 

BTW the part connecting to my 'pipe'(What is it called???) is starting to rust... where can i get treatment for this before i see ONE BIG WHOLE in it...

oh well can i ask about the price for the hugger and which shop.cause i will seriously want one.oh it was wobbly cause my tube was punctured.no wonder air keeps on deflating out every now and then but at a damn slow phase. i just changed my tires yesterday at HKL.damn it feels so good already.

 

right now i think the back suspension needs some serious attitude adjustment. and i need to find a shop where they can fix a good head and fairings for this bike. maybe i am using this bike for long.say 3 years till my installment is done.

i juz pass my license n planning to get a fz 150...can somebody enlighten me on wat i should look out for other then the price...reading from all the comments it seems like a veri gd bike for a new rider...

Its quite a new bike about a year plus only... so parts tend to be a bit slow... and besides its Fuel-injected so not easy to mod... maybe need thailand to have it then more parts will come... for now indonesia is our only hope... and some parts of malaysia...

Yarh will need to... scary if too much rust it will start to corrode and soon one big hole will be there...

Good to know you changed your tyres... tubeless would be the best! and for the hugger most shops will have it i think... if not LAB will...

I do find the suspension hard too... but i dont pillion so dont feel it much... Neways the bike it really a nice ride for those who dont really ask much... a bike which can go 140 km/h and go 30-38km per litre... good enough for me... can last quite some time... at least for me... till i get my 2A hahahha

Well my 2 cents advice is to compare a few bikes before you decide since its your first bike... but if you wanna talk about the FZ150i...

Dear brothers and sisters, im planning to change my bike from 135cc (yamaha X1-R) to 150cc.

 

im considering 2 options: FZ150i or CBR-150R.

 

can you guys advise me?

such as regular maintenance, parts replacement, fuel consumption, power / acceleration, comfortability in riding, and other recommended things.

 

Any comments will be greatly appreciated.

hey dude,for now you should just ride it first man since its a new bike.get the running-in done alright? hahs. oh well while running-in is going on,you can try browsing sites and shops for add-ons to this bike.problem is that nothing much can be done right now in sg since not much shop offering after-market parts.oh well lastly, ENJOY YOUR BIKE MAN!

Updates on my Fz150i so far..

 

skidded b4..recently rear tyre tube burst (afte 1 yr or so) - changed to tubeless Dunlop Arrowmax 110/70..waitin to change my front tyre soon..

 

sprocket teeth worn out -changed to vixion sprocket n o-ring chain( afta 1yr too)

 

change front brake pad

 

Pipeline rusting..

 

Backlight bulb blow out..

 

I don't play near with this bike...frm west side to east side few times a week..

 

Corners well..but no power..a commutin bike in the end..

 

Lets get together once again..soon..

Lorong Bapok Ah Boy freakin 'raped' my bike when i fix my Givi box ther..

 

thats the bad xperience cos hafiz and coolman was wif me..

 

my seat now is loose cos of that arse mechanic..he trimmed off the underneath of my seat cos the nuts of the bracket for the box were protrudin and the seat can't lock in..went to yamaha to service my bike without fail thus far and the protrudin nuts were replaced..but my seat is stil loose cos of the trimmin..

 

So far i find that bike shops all ketuk u of ur money..where got one dat doesnt..
