hi RxzDelux, thanks for the link... had just posted to enquire about the OTR price. My friends also recommended bajaj if i want good fc, but they said its a india brand and maintaince is quite high.... i read somewhere in this forum, there is a comparsion between fz150i and pulsar, their fc are comparable though fz having smaller tank. Thats why i chose fz150....

 

i preferred relax posture too. Just saw a red fz on the road while walking home, i think the size is just nice for me.

 

Also, i read in the first few pages that max speed for original setting can reached 140km/h is it true or must modify the engine?

 

Diablo85, me almost buy Pulsar but a friend of mine got alot of problem with the bike and tat's make me feel worried.

Anyway if any of u saw a RED FZ 150I with a red strip helmet pls waive at him because that's me... see u guys on the road.

U may want to try HLC in Kaki Bukit. Very good and friendly pple there. Prices also reasonable. I love top notch servicing and caring pple for my bike. Haha.

i got the quoted from HLC. For my age OTR price is $6360 +749 for insurance. Is this pricing reasonable? Will other shop give better price?

 

My friends say can request for freebie like free helmet, box etc is it true? sorry i am really a noob in this.

hi Diablo85, pulsar fc is better compared to fz150i... fc is counted per litre, not per tank... so fz150i having smaller tank just mean that it needs to be refueled faster...

 

maintainance wise, heard that pulsar can use alot of parts from yamaha and honda, but i dont know about how true it is. Also heard from the shop i bought my bike from, saying they hav done overhaul on some pulsar and when they open up is like very jialad condition, but dunno they bullshit or not...

 

but i'm like rxzdelux, i only wan to use honda or yamaha... no indian bike for me, period... that's just me...

 

i fixed on a box, rxz headlight, super 4 bellypan, and a kr rear hugger, and i went up to 120km/h before, but it's not the max yet, still can go faster but not tried yet... so judging from i've not modified engine or exhaust,without any mod should be able to reach 140... how fast can u go in s'pore without getting into trouble? unless u wanna go msia lah... u can browse thru this fz150i forum, ssome guys mentioned their top speed before...

 

wan to buy new bike? look for HLC, like rxzdeluz recommended... good boss and good head mechanic... no issue with them till now...

 

so am i right to say that stock parts max is 120km if wanna go higher must modified engine or add aftermarket parts?

tank condom and am seriously considering bigger rims for bigger tires.

cause interesting story today guys.

riding along pie home from camp and surprise!

yellow bus decides to lane change abruptly causing me to jam rear brake and back wheels started skidding.

lucky never buang.

and i was travelling at running in speed! 70-80~~

sheesh!

definitely feel safer with proper bigger tube-less tires.

i didn't get from HLC, my insurance was 900 plus... was over 25 yrs old... coe was 1000 plus... machine price told me was 4000 plus, on top of that, gst was added... and there was admin fees... and there was iu cost, stupid me last time neve ask for cost breakdown b4 signing the papers... after that call to get it, told me must go down and apply(wtf???) from the admin manager, forget about it then... stupid shop... just go back pay instalment... anyway i down payment 1500, 2 years instalment 260 per month... if i'm not wrong should be 5% interest...

 

pay abit more, for a reputable and trustworthy shop, plus u buy from them, they take care u more, like that pay more i also willing... did kelvin gave u the breakdown cost? check out the admin fees included if any... HLC is very open in price, b4 u buy ask for breakdown, he sure give u... u can ask rxzdelux, he just got his bike recently, maybe he've asked a few shops already...

 

can ask for free raincoat or helmet or bike cover or box plus bracket or free iu... of coz dun expect the raincoat or helmet to be those ex one... and of coz not all mentioned above u all wan ask from the shop la... when i got mine i got free raincoat and box... i u good at bargain can get more things la...

no wad i meant was with the additional weight of the things i've installed plus a box, the top speed and fc will drop, but i managed to reach 120km/h and at that time still can go faster, but i neve try...

 

so without the additional stuffs and box, can definitely reach more than 120km/h... maybe 130 to 140 km/h? i dunno, neve try...

i'm going get the half fairing soon... hope it turns out well and nice...

 

eh bro, no need change bigger rims la... change to bt39 can le... take out the tube and change to tubeless valve... last time heard from some guys the stock tires easy skid so change quite soon after got my bike, coz rainy season was getting close... play safe... up till not my bt39 has served me well... my rear is 100/80... dun use too much rear brakes... lock sure skid one... anticipate stupid manuveurs from drivers... works much better than hard or jam braking... ride safe...

MOTUL engine oils? YES i have tried it before but not in my fz150i but in my Honda Wave. Power to Motul. I love it the downside is only the roughness. Not so smooth like AGIP. I tried Motul 5100 4T 15W50 at that time.

 

My Honda Wave is like engine oil encyclopedia already. Haha. Tried so many brands of engine oil.

yeah it's battlax... rear max size i not very sure... 110 or 120... u can check with HLC... bt39 tires promotion...

 

Yeap HLC is having a promotion of Battlax BT39 tyres. Buy a tyre get 1 bottle of Castrol Power 1 semi syn engine oil free. While stock last. Grab it while u can. Really worth it. Mine i changed already when i first got the bike. My size is front 90/80-17 and back 90/80-17.
