alamak pal, ur bike so new coolant not enough already? u sure u checked it when it's on level ground?

r u talking about the panel with the 'fz150i' sticker? if yes, u need to remove the pillion handle bar out also...

Mine also the SAME. When it's new some of the coolant haven go in the engine. Thus after you travel, the coolant will go down cause some goes inside the block.

Mine the coolant went to BELOW the LOW level mark. See oso scared the sh*t out of me. Haha. I quickly call my shop HLC. He says bring down your bike we will take care of it. Wahhhh.. So power la this shop. Take care of my bike. Reach there after my working time ard 5 plus. Then the mechanic check. The mechanic says it's normal for NEW bike. They just top up with distilled water to FULL.

Well after that my bike runs like normal already else can feel the engine HEAT sia. Hehe.

Anyway i intend to change to 3rd party performance COOLANT later. I find out that the stock coolant is thin. Not so good in cooling but it is still can use la. Only that i love performance products.

Yup, level ground, centre stand. If I remember correctly, got one time I thought got steam come out near the front right of my bike. Thought just my imagination. Only recently saw that the radiator cap is also on the front right... Dunno whether it means some steam did escape that time?!

If I'm reading the manual correctly, the panel is the one with the 'fz150i' sticker. I'll try again this weekend... maybe post a pic. Thanks thanks.

I'm also quite worried about the coolant. Right now, when idling at traffic light, can feel the engine heating up...

If i am not wrong you have to top up using distilled water provided u know how to top up. As for me i would be better well of give this things to my professionals from where i bought the bike from HLC. Haha. Good luck bro. Coolant must take care or your engine might become roasted.

Update: Managed to top up with battery (distilled) water liao. Seems that there's no need to open up the panel with the 'fz150i' completely. Just unscrew it and shift it just enough to remove the triangular panel beside it. After that can see the coolant reservoir cap already. Thanks for the inputs everyone!

hey guys got sth too share, (but rxz prolly knows already about it since he's like an eo encyclopedia! lol!)

changed my eo spark plug and oil filter today.

charged 31 smackeroos for it.

@hup hin at alexandra.

the eo i changed too was motul 5100 15 w 50.

dont know if our bikes should be using this but i did and i hope its right.

so bike felt, um how do i say this, "beefier". felt heavier and more powerful abit.

and maybe its just me but the throttle feels ike its heavier to twist.

again maybe its just me.

and it also made my bike sound "bass-ier". to me that is.

spark plug is NGK normal one.

so all in all i think its a pretty good first oil change.

mileage is now @1,8751 km b4 oil change.

hope it wasnt too early.

opinions?

bro grimlock!

yes that sounds awesome.

i would love too see the kick ass fz's of msia.

and it'll give me a chance to bring my bike into msia too!

or maybe u guys wanna cross the cause way and spend dinner here?

lol!

anyone else second the motion?

=)

Now reaching 7000 km le... My biker friend told me take out the dipstick and see the drop of oil. If colour got like golden brown still can use...

For me go inside jb very troublesome lei... If u guys wan to meet up in s,pore I still ok la....

Motul 5100 15W50 is like that one lar. Got performance but a little rough on the feel of the bike.

No doubt the Motul 5100 is :thumb: It is SEMI- Synthetic and got ESTER. Refer to here.

http://www.motul.com.sg/product_line_up/4stroke/4stroke18.html

Motul 3100 15W50 is the lower end than that of Motul 5100 15W50.

Refer to here.

For me i change the NEW engine oil when the engine feel is like sandy. Not very good already.

5000 to 6000km usually applies for FULLY synthetic range but what u're using now is even lower than the Motul 5100 semi synthetic. Well everybody got their own style of taking care of their own bike.

Anyway it's your bike not mine.

Happy riding! Cheers bro.

My shop says if u love your bike and use fully synthetic can change every 2000km. If u BO CHAP type or lowest budget type can change at 3000km interval.

Up to individual really.

As for me i learnt a great lesson already. Last time i use to change the engine oil late. At last i down engine and find out the engine chassis kanna eat liao. Jialat liao. I kanna few hundred dollars.

So my conclusion is change engine oil is better than Expensive repairs.

Engine oil how much only. Not worth to save here and save there in the end go for costly repairs.

Is this the one u using?

http://www.motul.com.sg/product_line_up/4stroke/4stroke07.html

If it is then it is the highest end product of motul. Fully synthetic with DOUBLE ESTER!

Another thing i query is

I changed mine to motul gold 15W-50, oil filter and spark plug for 23 bucks

Where you bought this Motul300V? I also want to try. Usually the selling price at workshops is $28 per bottle. U got it for so cheap ar? I wonder if it is really Motul 300V Factory Line series.

Even the AGIP 2nd highest range which is the TEC is $23 per bottle. Yours u get it lower than $20? Now that makes me wonder.. hehe.

Usually from what i see the highest end range of engine oil falls in the $25 to $28 per bottle.

Aiyoh bro... Ur shop my shop sama sama la... Hlc right... I thought I was using the gold one, so went to their forum page to find the package with motul gold plus filter and spark plug lor... Sorry for the confusion....:shy:

the 300v package is 38 bucks... I checked with my receipt le... Ha ha... :cheeky: that time I went hlc the day b4 my appointment w/ hong leong for 3000 km servicing... Then ah lee asked free de ah? I told him labour free only hav to pay for oil n filter... then he say we also labour free... Y not change here can choose oil somemore... Then when i ask him he recommend wad he took the bottle off the shelf and said this one good.... After change, power sia... Recently rode on one 150i w/ Yamaha oil, wah crap sia... Mileage lesser than mine and mine feeling damn different... Feel the power...

hmm like that based on ur experience, how much mileage u reccommend before I change my eo? The agip eo package 36 bucks de I supposed on par with the 300v de? Is it going to be smoother like u mentioned earlier? Pls advice...
