Amid the rising fuel prices, many of us who depend so much on our cars may have been feeling the pinch some time ago, as such there were so many different ways of mitigating the losses. Some 'lucky' ones get to give up their cars as they may have been driving, or should i say paying, for afew years. Others who are still stuck with massive loans have to bite their teeth and persevere.

A possible and feasible way perhaps could be to carpool with another passenger in need of a 'faster, more comfortable or convenient' transport to create a win-win situation. Why not? Actually carpooling has been around for some time but perhaps, Sporean's self-esteem could not lift that up. I remember last time carpooling sort of started to be available at taxi-stands, wonder how many of you can recall that.

A driver can reduce his COC (car operating cost) significantly by just getting the empty seats in his car filled up. Very very often we can easily look around that there is only the driver in it. How much he can recover relates greatly with how many passengers he has in his car.

Supposedly his COC is about $20 a day. If a passenger is willing to pay about $5 per trip per day, 3 passengers will cover about $15, more than 50% of his COC. Of course there are other issues of inconvenience you can say, but it remains to be sorted out for a win-win, for the more important $ picture.

I sincerely believe that carpooling is feasible... workable. Any interested party can email me at [email protected] to discuss more further. Be it you're the driver or passenger. We can work something out.

Cheers and hv a nice day! :thumb:
