1) make sure chain tension meets specification

2) check tire pressure

3) avoid high revving, avoid sharp acceleration or braking

4) avoid revving while shifting gears

5) ride in 6th/5th gear, maintain engine speed

6) check throttle body if there's formation of dirt

7) check throttle cable

8) check injector/carb

9) check if there's blockage in air filter assembly

10) check for faulty fuel pump

bike is a machine without soul, rider would inject new life and character to this machine

bro so for your sp you normally ride at what speed? cause my full tank is only 180km. on expressway i would ride on 90-120kmph.

It's not about the speed, it's about how you roll up and ease off the throttle, and getting the optimum cruising RPM. Slow doesn't means good FC, you may be wasting fuel, when it can go much more.

On a side note, I just clocked a 24.3km/L on my Revo on my latest tank. That bring my tank range to 437km... woots!

Anyone can ride a bike. Being a biker, is a state of mind.

so its about how smoothly you throttle up? so changing gears for a SP at 5rpm is ideal?

And throttle down as well... remember I mentioned ease off. Unless you are in lacing mode, else roll up, ease off.

I can't tell you what RPM, because I don't ride a SP. It about how you can feel your bike. Roll the throttle up till the point that you feel an an extra vibration, that's the point. You can feel it on your throttle hand.

And if there's a need to down gear, do so. Even at low RPM on a upslope for example, you may still be in a high carburator throttle position. So you got to feel your power delivery as well.

Since you riding a SP, you probably won't be able to tahan all these technique la.. cuz all your peers may start zooming and peh peh past you, and you will have the urge to catch up with them. Only for potential uncle rider like me.... haha!

dont loose horse power...

1..maintain bike well

2. cool riding habits for max km/L ..as propsed by bros here..

honestly when was the last time u have cleaned your chain?

i am not surprise the answer is havent done it for as long as i can remeber= never...but i use spray wax ..

i equate spraying wax/oil without cleaning is = topping up eo all the time and not changing it when the time comes..just imagine all those road grime in the chains..

that will end up in loosing up to 20% of bike horse power is not surprising...

yeah clean/oil regularly your chains and you will be amazed..the bike actually rune better..

i love my ezzyoiler

experience the miracle...

where chain cleaning is history...

My YBR. Or any other YBR. I am not joking. When i first got my bike, for a few months, i ride slow. I was light. Never load up my box. Can reach 47-50km/l. But the needle will be at 'E'.

But now my box inside always got things, i am so much more heavier now and full throttle for every single damn thing. 42+km/l. So technically, 500km / 42km/l = 11.90L. My bike is 12 litres full tank.
