What to do when your Visor is blur or stratch

i would second changing a new visor...

 

not all visors are cheap.. the cost of my nolan visor can buy me lots and lots of brasso, glass cleaners, toothpaste to clean..

 

juz some thoughts, when u are out riding and wanna clean your visor.

 

Use saliva, it helps. This is wat usuall divers use to clear their diving mask.

 

its very clean. That is better than using water.

 

divers use it cos saliva is the most readily anti-fog solution we can find..

 

You (or he) haven't got to the point where visors may cost around $50++...

 

And that's for those branded fullface ones

yeah that's right.. i was shocked when i asked for new visor for my helmet..

 

Yeah my AGV visor i very blur now and its expensive getting a new one....

 

yeah yeah yeah... some people will say got money get FF no money change visor....

 

Please give some constructive comments as it will be better to save our money than just get a new one if there is a solution to this right? Cheers...

 

btw, brasso really can meh?

 

i think brasso and autosol appears to remove the scratch cos it creates micro scratches at the 'major' scratch you have got.. so it 'lightens' your major scratch.. toothpaste would work the similiar way.. but would prefer to use toothpaste it it gives me the impression that its more mild than brasso and autosol.. just my 2 cents worth.

 

what i did for my visor was to use glass cleaner to clean my visor then see if its better.. then used toothpaste.. it helped quite a bit..

These mild abrasive compounds are akin to the very micro grade sandpapers that some polishing companies use, to polish your metal surfaces to a very bright finish.

 

Very high micro surface roughness provides very high and consistent reflective clarity.

 

That said, if there's a deep scratch, what you need is to scratch the screen even more with a penknife and throw your tantrums before throwing that bloody expensive visor away
