Hi to all.. Am very new in here... Just wants to see a show of hands out there whether anyone lost their drz i mean (stolen) before or ever heard of ppl's drz being stolen also. Cos bought a drz last year and lost it after 2 weeks, can you imagine that? But it wont put down the flame inside me to purchase it back again.. But just want to know some tips on how you guys prevent it from getting stolen. I bought it from MAH MOTOR and the bike is a first hand 08 model. But the 09 is coming out soon, thinking of buying it when i got back my claim. Chances of my bike being stolen could it be the bike shop? Or could it be the bike syndicate outside who stole my bike? No offence but just asking only, as i dont wish to lose it one more time again!!

My neighbor got his 1yr old DRZ SM stolen. . . but I think police manage to recover it. Lucky fella.

He seems to be tempting them from the 1st day. . . bling bling bike was never covered, handlebar not even locked. . . and I doubt he is using a disc lock.

For me, I'm quite kiasu. 1 chain lock around the fork and wheel, 2 locks on my canvas cover to deter thieves. Yes, its laychay but at least I can sleep more peacefully at night.

My advice? Cover your bike everywhere you go. . . I believe in "out of sight, out of mind". Best to use a dirty and stinky(cat pee best!) canvas. That way even carpark auntie wun want to touch(free parking!).

Seems to me the easiest way of stealing the whole bike is to manhandle it onto a van. So find a parking slot with pillar/pipe beside and chain your bike frame to it. . . seems abit extreme but its a better deterance.

Actually i thought of doing so... (chaining the bike to a pillar or watso ) but wont it be veri funny? Ppl will definitely laugh at the owner of the bike lor... but better than lost the bike..
