enlighten me, if you're looking for 2a why would you opt for the 250r instead of the 400r?

It's true: it's more fun to ride a slow bike fast than to ride a fast bike slow. Admittedly, though... It is MOST fun to ride a fast bike fast!

Without studying their specs, here are some possible differences that I can thought of: weight, fuel consumption, insurance, price, country made (which links to availability and price of spare parts), seat height, bike availability (first hand and used market), looks, etc.

 

I view both as individual different bikes instead of difference in cc.
