maybe have to change clutch plates? when u change engine oil u might see alot of the abraded particulates from the clutch friction plates in your used eo. if its slipping and you do not replace it you might overwork and overheat the engine? the crankcase tends to be quite hot when my clutch plates were razed flat.

Yes my clutch plate finish, change new clutch plate and ok now :)

Haha riding between 60 and 70 now. Freaking slow. Over taken even by buses. Think actual speed only 40km/h. Now using Mobil Super 4T Mineral Oil. Cause gonna change oil at 1000km, no point get semi or synthetic, waste $$ only.

Does Anyone knows where i can get all the replica of phantom tools (the set of tools that comes with the bike behind the right chrome cover). I "littered" my tools along CTE while riding with the tools compartment cover off. didn't manage to recover all.

missing:

-All Spanners

-Plastic grip for the interchangeable screw

-Rear shock adjusting spanner

i got all my spanners and the screwdriver with replaceable drive tip from from daiso imm but i think i think the length of the spanners cant go into the tool compartment.

(they dont have the size 22 box spanner though)

pin spanner was from LAB.

Yeap front drive chain sprocket. Got worn and sharpened alr. Rear also going to give but still got some life left.

Wah! $479.50 that's cheap for so many things done!

The $479.50 includes cost of all the parts purchased right?

Yeah. Its workmanship + parts costs. :)

Which part of north u stay? If woodlands or marsiling u can try coming via bke. If yishun ubi isnt very far haha. Btw the shop name is Lee Huat Motor along Bukit Timah opposite a condo called The Linear. U have to come from timah facing woodlands road direction. Otherwise u cant see it as the mrt works is in the way. Company has been there for 30 or even 40 over years. My dad bought a bike there in 1980 and maintained it there too. Now i follow his footsteps :)

hi spark135, do you happen to have their address? I stay at woodlands too, and really a hassle going all the way to ubi for maintenance. I guess they are good and can compare with planet?

quick question: has anyone tried to adjust the throttle free play before? the lock nut and the adjuster is hidden under this rubber sleeve that's like impossible to slip off and all i can do is make the adjustment by feeling the adjuster through the rubber sleeve?

u can do so at the carb oso. look at ur engine on the right-hand-side and play wif ur throttle. can see one. very obvious. then just adjust the 2 lock nuts until u get the right freeplay.

A ride a day, keeps the doctor away!

Yeah alot of uncles go there. But youngsters seldom go there because of one thing: They use majority, if not all, original parts and have seldom aftermarket parts. But their workmanship is good, IMO. Can be on par with planet (so far thats my opinion).

Address: 873/875 Upper Bukit Timah Road, Singapore 678176

Its basically a shophouse. The entire shophouse is theirs, below is office cum workshop, above is their dwellings, altho not used most of the time. DO NOT travel at high speed when going to the shop, else if u miss the shop u gotta make a long u-turn trip.

No prob. So far i know 2 mechanics alr, 1 is a goofy look uncle wearing uncle style specs. 30 over years of experience as a bike mechanic. Another is a malay chap that is friendly too. Theres one more mechanic whom the shop call ah di. But not close to him. My opinion if do some stuffs at one shot is cheaper here. If one item at a time, over time its rather expensive.

Anyway just to check, are my front wheel bearings shot? When i let go of front brake, the bike tend to rattle. When i depress the brake, the rattling cuts down by 75% (Could the bearings be loose, hence when idling the wheels are moving about the bearings resulting in the extra vibration?). When cornering on a road that has uneven road (not bumpy, just not evenly flat) surface my bike tends to veer in random directions, same goes when im riding on straights and road is uneven. Can feel the bike going left n right. Dont think its steering cones/bearing as its tight and turns smoothly.
