I've actually asked them about the 0% interest free promotion. AS phoon said it's only for class 2A bikes and above and it's not applicable to class 2B bikes. After all, the roadshow is not purely for R15 but for other bigger CC yamaha bikes as well.

personally i think this bike look somewat like x1-r for the for the frnt part. n in terms of looks the r-125 wins. powerwise shuldn't be too much diff frm those 135cc cubs.

 

well the 125 look way much better than the 15...from the look i guess the 150 price might be cheaper than the 125 if it come to sg...base on my look only lah.......but still both bike look nice...i guess once this bike in the market...sp,krr,tzm will slowly fade off...

Hi, you mean this bike is using the same tyre as Pulsar? Any recommandation which brand as well as the thickness, this is my first bike. This is a small bike and if I go for thicker tyres, it will definitely look ugly and heavy on the lower portion.

 

At the same time, advise me on the price of the new tyres.

well i think for this bike change both frnt n rear tyres to battlax 90/80 shuld be gd enugh.. shuld cost abt $180-200.

if year end, means the stock of 30 bikes has been fully taken up. anyway, just use the stock tyres first. to get used to the feel of the bike and while running in also. you won't be riding so fast at this stage and so stock tyres is still good enough. after running in and understanding how to handle the bike, then it's fully recommended to get better quality tyres.

I went there yesterday. They didnt say about the 0% issue. I was charge 10% for 2yrs plan. So do you think it is still worth it?

 

Btw, this is only for ASphoon first launch and later will be Heng Motor ( I guess). So you think it will be a better deal to wait for Heng Motor to launch? There will be a road show in Sept for Heng Motor and maybe I can get a better deal there woth more freebies. What you all bikers think?

5%/year for new 2b bikes is normal. can wait for heng motor but if they see that r15 sells well for as phoon, they might not give such a good price. remember that 6.5k(without insurance) is a promotional price. else, the price will be 7.2k + insurance.

 

it's certainly more powerful than the r125.....in my point of view its not so so powerful than r125 bcoz last yr when i ride my r125 to werk from yishun to airport this guy come from nowhere out of sudden try to disturb me on the expressway SLE exit to TPE..he riding cbr150 blue well @ first i dont think i could catch up with him as i thought, but i could'nt believd it that my bike is faster than him about three lampost i left him behind when i view my side mirror and for ur info my bike is stock engine:thumb:

 

i can only say that you have the better skills. and perhaps he's just a loser who wanna race but don't know how to change gear at peak torque. and if you think about it, r125 have brembo brakes and what does cbr150 have? lol.. both got their own pros and cons la.

that's what the mech tried to promote to my friend also. but the 1.6k insurance is the killer. my friend end up buying sparks 135. at 3.9k+insurance if i remember correctly.

To stay 2B or upgrade? Confusing. IF the Fazer 150 comes to Singapore, they change the rear brake to disc, and costs less than 6k, i tell you... BUY BUY BUY!

Alamak, i see the R15 ar, cannot tahan sia. Want it badly! Then i talked to one of the A.S Phoon reps, the chinese one but can speak malay quite fluently, like ah beng2 abit. He said if can pay 6.5K full cash, can get 3rd party insurance around 1.2K+ for my case, 20 yrs old. He also said many people bought the R15. Dont know whether true or not.

since the machine price for both bike is cheaper than r15.

initially wanted to get the r125, but saw the promotion/commotion regarding the R15 so check out more online and by phone to shops. Found out and confirmed that Asphoon was actually selling it for 6.5K OTR excluding solely Insurance.... they have good deals like free kbc full face and was really interested to go down today and check more... but decided to walk around alexandra first b4 going down to the serangooon outlet...

 

Went walking with a fren passing by this shop (I-motoring) and saw a blue color Sports bike tat looks strangely familiar and suspected it was the New

R15. Went over and asked the manager (Norman) and he told me everything except Insurance going for 6.8k and i was thinking how come so 300 more....

then i realised that actually... the insurance different 700pa (AXA)compared to the 1 asphoon told me was 1.3k (i'm 25 years old and just passed)..asphoon quoted me 7.2k-7.4k ..... and the monthly pay out would be $248 for 2 years

(tat is if i down 2.5K) and for I-motoring, it was 7K FLAT , $207 monthly for 2 years... i took it immediately.. and just FYI, they give free helmet, raincoat and bike cover as well Standard issues,but the helmet is the Chui brand wan la......

 

generally i would say both got their pros and cons but bros who are interested in getting might wanna ask ASphoon if they have cheaper insurance options anot lor... so ya! BTW now Singapore only have Blue color all the other colors only coming in end of year or maybe earlier abit... so ya!

Got the R15 last month.

After 1000km sent to agent for 1st service.

After the first service, there were loud noise on the engine during accerleration. Sent back to agent, they told me chain no lubricant.

How can after 1st service, chain no lubricant ?

 

Tried for another week, notice the noise still there. Sent back to agent, they said the noise is normal.

I have been riding bike since 1978 never come accross such bike with loud noise.

Bike is good but service to this catogary of bike not soo good.

The agent busy serving TP bikes.

This $7,000 bike low prirority to them.

 

Will go back to Honda bike
