brother, how on earth USD18,000 become SGD40,000??? Something is wrong with the figures leh..17k pounds is way more than 18kUSD...and 18K USD is less than the 40kSGD you mentioned.

Which is which?

I doubt its 40k cos that would be more expensive than a Harley VRod and a BMW K1200. Not many people will bite. Its a Japanese bike afterall.

I did hear of its limited production units available. In fact, you need to "reserve" your Vmax on the Yamaha website...

A typical Jap big four 1000cc sportbike goes for USD10K out the door.... and $24K OTR here.

Exchange rate, Diff tax structure and etc.

If we go by the same, a USD18K bike will probably cost about $42K plus here.

A standard Duc 1098 goes for 15K out the door in the US, here it's about 40K... so....

WoW nice bike. look strong n macho

If this jap bike costs more than 30k might as well get euro bike like The Duke, Ducati, n etc. but still up to the individual. :D

Life is like a shooting star, it don't matter who you are,

If you only run for cover, it's just a waste of time.. :thumb:

Sorry mate if i confuse you, anyway i am not keen to debate over this, but below are the figures stated from the mag, I am just a common reader.

August 08 Cycle World - USD$17,990

August 08 TWO - 16,000 pounds

I bought my Max then at S$16,500, but in the states they were selling at USD$4,500 leh.

If you are really into Max, i have every single magazine write-up since 1992 with regards to V-Max still well kept in my little humble books cabinet which I can lend it to you.

Cheers to the V-Max.

speaking of which...of all the bikes price i observed, I think UK price is somewhat closer to spore price. HOWEVER....I am very very sure that Harley and BMW bike price in SPore is definitly one of the most expensive in the world! The agent marked up quite a bit on it.

Wow... but I suppose it's sort of "limited edition", like only 2,000 units per year.. so the pricing also a bit more "exclusive"?

the Americans are a lucky bunch to be able to own one for US18k! How I wish I can lay my hands on one too!:lovestruck:

I thought it is a crusier? or is a naked bike ??

Always ride safely and defensively.

Repair bike cheap and fast,

Repair body expensive and slow.
