Crf250r / Xt250 / Xt250x

I need opinion on the following bikes. The CRF250R / XT250 / XT250X. I intend to use for normal travelling. Definitely not going off road. Just wanna enjoy riding a scram. Cause previous bikes been a gilera and super4 so now wanna try scram.

 

1) Machine Price

2) Which shop

3) Fuel consumption

4) Pros and Cons

5) Maintenance

 

I hope those currently riding the above bikes can share your experience. My apologies if asking too much. Just that i know nuts about scram.

CRF is not road legal, the other 2 yamaha bikes you can check it out at hong heong

there's so much buzz and rumours abt the CRF..a pity its still cannot be Sg rd legal....anyway..u can check out the new WR250F..tats a bike tat sure turn some head now

wr250f is damn good, 40ps is some crazy figure on a 250.

titanium valve + 12.5:1 compression and 105kg, it is a race ready bike man...

just the price tag of 14k machine price is damn....

LOL!!! the price of a race bike is never cheap! mine has titanium valves + 13+ : 1 compression ratio n titanium nitrate forks!

yap,my sxf is not road legal,dats y i need 2 buy a van 2 juz 4 my hobby! the cost of a new sxf was 13.8k than. but i understand the 09 models have a price increase. cost of fun is going up!!!!

all good bike comes with a big price tag...

 

anyway, to thread starter, expensive race ready bike not so suitable for daily use, high fuel consumption and need more frequent service/ maintenence.

 

XT250 is good for transport used.

or you can consider XR250 tornado, trail with one yesterday. nice outlook with oil cool, decent power as well.

thanks sev... point noted... now trying to work out my budget... worse to worse maybe getting a dr200. out off curiosity can dr200 convert to motard wheels?

mailo, I suggest you to take 2009 Yamaha XT250X, so we can buy together, ha ha. But WR250 still more fierce look. And this bike good fuel consumption.

i'd look into a CRF 250 F .. they look similar to the R .. just more trail/enduro orientated.. ... they've gott lights, plates and all , road legal, the engine is better over long distances, better on fuel, .. sounds like what ur looking for?

does any1 have the retail prices for the CRF250R , CRF150 RB(big wheel) and Ktm 250 sx-f? and some dealer locations? and an1 know nething about tax or similar if i were to bring a bike in from australia? or would it be cheaper jsut to buy in sg
