he was the worst newcastle manager for the past 20 yrs. :giddy: :giddy:

but even if someone that we dislike becomes the manager of the team we support, we still have to accept it, we support the team, not the manager or players.. i realli hope they can crack a joke or 2 abt Souness interest and not to take him too seriously..

now Gerard Houllier seems to come into the picture as the new boss for the Toon Army.. i dun think he is a good choice as well, doesnt suit the Newcastle attacking style of play.

i think Frank Rijkaard/Arsene wenger are the more pro attacking style of managers.

Sad to say brudder..... havent seen Newcastle attacking style of play for a long long time. Hope Keegan comes and is still up to the beat and ............ I dun wan Souness

Newcastle indeed is a good team. They have the good players except for the style of play and the morale is real low at this time. Imagine if the reports are true that Keegan would partner Shearer, what wonders it can do to the morale of the team.

i would go for keegan plus shearer being the assistant. that would really boost the morale! hope they would appoint sooner rather than later as the transfer window is now open so that the new manager can do things. anyway is ameobi injured or what ar? why so long never hear any news about him

kenNUFC: im not too sure.. frm wat i noe, can peel off the old number but there'll be a marking of the old number..

actually houllier is not too bad.. im 50/50 for him.. he's experienced, he brought liverpool till pretty far.. and he went back to france and won numerous league titles wif lyon.. so i tink he could make it.. but i dun see him as a long term manager.. latest latest news is tat shearer gonna be his asst.. i still prefer keegan tho..

Newcastle now seem to have switched attention to 39-year-old Deschamps, who turned down an approach from Manchester City last summer.

At that stage, he wanted to stay in France with his son still at school but he may now see this as a good opportunity and has agreed to meet Newcastle chairman Chris Mort to talk personal terms.

YEAH!!! hurray, i believe everyone of us is damn happy now! i hope shearer can be his assistant, so that he can learn and be the manager next time just like jose mourinho beside bobby robson.

Congrats.. Keegan is the man.. I m sure he will bring Newcastle to greater heights. i feel that all along they wanted keegan, but using Harry Redknapp as a smokescreen.

The lineup during Keegan's era if I'm not wrong should be:

Srnicek, Barton, Albert, Peacock, Watson, Gillespie, Ginola, Lee, Beardsley, Shearer, Ferdinand

Subs were mostly: Hislop, Beresford, Howey, Asprilla, Clarke.

Batty came in much later...and Ruel Fox.......... :giddy:
