I've read the earlier posts from this thread and understand there is some coolant problem, but not sure whether is it for the earlier models or the latest models. Have not tried asking any bike shops or the distributor for information, but if there's anyone here who is able to clear my doubts I would certainly appreciate it. Thanks in advance.

400cc scoots with ample storage n power ar..MP3 400 is nice..but abit ex..X8 400 but dun reli dig the looks.i used to have the same prob as u,want a scoot with storage,power n looks..but then i went for the Tmax + a nice top box..quite gd..considered swing also..but then twin rear suspension not too keen..burg 400 k8? shld be 1 of the largest storage alrdy n looks not bad..actually if u buy jap scoots wun have much major probs.but now piaggio has Brembo bro a.k.a John there,support is gd too..but wear n tear slightly higher.Yp400 is rare,u dun see alot otr..actually YP250,YP400 (MAjesty) and XP500 (Tmax) all very rare in sg..u dun always see otr..actually the price also very near..but a couple of thouands only..250 mk2 ard 12k but end production alrdy,i got the last 1 n sold off also..mk3 shld be near tmax pricing of 14k 400 shld be ard 13000-13500...so u do your sums lo..but do research abt the bike also..coz if the parts availability is not in hand,u have to order,very sian..

frm wad i know yamaha scoots i have ridden the belts like can tahan very long..tmax even longer..coz got 2 final drive belts,1 chain n 1 belt..chain is service free..play safe change at 35k lo..i`m sure ur in law dun ride hard..

 

abt the box,i`m sure givi has...shld be all box models can fit..

 

Ya, he ride relax wan.. But I just wanna know the recommended change interval so can "agak agak" estimate the lifespan.. Still waiting for him to pass me his old Vespa leh, haven't ridden a bike for mths backside itchy already..

 

 

 

accifree, You might wanna consider the Burgman 400 K8.. Think machine price is about $10.5k.. Quality wise it looked better than the Majesty 400, and it comes with good quality rubber stock as well.. No need to head to the bike shop right after collection to change tires.. Only down side for Suzuki bikes is that replacement parts takes donkey years to come..

I've heard of the spare parts support, not very good. Thanks for the recommendation, still like to get a Maj. :p

Have anyone visited Serangoon's ASPhoon? I saw a white Majesty there with short windscreen and naked handle bar yesterday, is that a 400cc? Did not go in and ask as I was rushing off.

It's a 250cc...

I don't blame people who doesn't show courtesy, they just didn't get taught on how to do so.

I rode the Majesty 400 04' model and did not encounter any problems throughout my 2 years of riding it....and I used it to run ard alot as I was doing sales that time.

 

The only problem....horrific stock tires so I changed it.

But you'll still get full agent warranty from HL.. So no problem buying outside if u can find..

I got 3 choices now, can't make up my mind...

Majesty 250 for the keyless function

Burgman 400 K8 for the looks

T Max 500 08 model as many ppl said such good stuff abt it...

Agent's normally cannot trade in old bike. So go thru dealer.

 

And agent/importer normally higher price than dealer (subjective). If not, why would dealer wanna sell for agent.

Warranty from Hong Leong is 6000km or 6months which ever come 1st for all Yamaha Bikes/Scooters. :smile:

Tmax itself is already very good stuff from the start. :thumb:
